We were driving down the freeway last Saturday night and an NSX passed by us. It was a red 02 or later. Anyway, their engine cover had been removed and they had installed one or two lights that lit up the engine compartment revealing a finely detailed engine. (It wasn't neon stuff. It was a soft light like that of a license plate light that just shined bright enough not to be flashy or lame) Has anybody here ever seen that before. I'm kind of interested since I have a lot of stuff coming from SoS next week!!!

Sounds like a very worth while and simple modification. It is very easy to hook up considering that there already is a switch that notifies you that the engine compartment is open. Lets see some pics when its done.

not wanting to step on oem toes....
i orig put blue neon sticks beneath the aft vent grill @ engine/trunk area.
they lasted thru expo, but fried in november[ wired off parking lights in trunk]
replaced with 2 bullet sized LEDs.
nice diffuse light demarks the area of vent lip, bathes the engine lid.
looks great, prob not legit.
i figure on a stop, i'm gonna get papered.........
