I'm taking political science at the moment and this question came to mind. Out of all seriousness, who would you vote for us americans as U.S. president? Reason why would be nice too if you'd like.

Interestingly enough, I saw this exact poll taken about 4 months ago and the responses from the international community were OVERWHELMINGLY for ..... Ron Paul.

The international community wants the United States to be brought down a notch or two so of course they would pick Barack Hussein Obama.

I remember those polls.

I don't really even understand that twist of his name. Are you trying to somehow say Barack is some sort of genocidal maniac? Why not call him Hussein Osama while you're at it? I don't like any of the candidates left standing, but I'm curious why you'd call Obama the name you did.

Heh... insert foot in mouth. I had no idea his middle name was actually Hussein :). I figured it was another twist on the people that call him "Barack Osama".

What makes you think the "international cumminty" cares which US president is newly-elected?

(I voted nonetheless ;) )

possibly the fact that obamas nomination was on the front of alot of other countries front pages on the news papers this morning, i forget all of which cnn stated, some random ones like ireland, iceland, kenya, alot of just random countries

how awesome would it be if clinton ran as an independant, that would destroy the democrats chances of winning, lol

Out of Clinton, Obama and McCain, I would vote for Obama.

McCain would be a disaster for the USA and the world.

and if Ron Paul was nominated, I would have voted for him.

I'm a Canadian, by the way.

I figured the international community would care because it seems we're always stepping on everyone elses toes. Might as well get to know who'd you rather have step on your toes or rather get us to step off your toes.

Depends on what part of the world you're talking about. Scientifically, this is a very loose poll.

I'm sure the president of Iran and Syria will love to see Mr. Obama to be their friends.

England, and their pals probably like to have McCain, or any countries that are NOT compete with the US corporations and does a lot of trades with us.

Imagine if they the democratic government decide to slap a teriff on import cars to protect the Domestic makers... That might happen under the Democrats.

This time around, the presidential candidates are all pertty weak. You have a charismatic speaker with nothing to show for other than his association with a radical wacked up church, a domestic terrorist friend, a wife who at point, made 300k's a year but still felt mistreated by her country, and most importantly, wants to raise our taxes because it's a fair thing to do. Some how, most of our college kids bought his program:confused:

We HAD Hillary Clinton, but she's out of the picture now, which is not a bad thing.

McCain... Well, little old, but does have good experience and a decent track record, but not favorite by the right wing. However, it is his term to have a shot at it since the good old boys like to help each other.

Interesting election year it will be. Too bad none of them can solve our gas prices, bring us world peace, and make every one happy. But guess what? The who ever gets elected can take credit for resolving Global Warming since 2007/8 so far... The coldest year within the last 100 years:rolleyes:

Though my country is the USA's largest trading partner, I'm more concerned about the future president's foreign policy than their economic and domestic policies.

I can say quite confidently that John McCain has the worst foreign policy of the three candidates. Try watching a few video compilations of his speeches where he discusses his plans and policies in regards to the Middle East - he frequently demonstrates that his level of understanding of world affairs is very little. I find it quite ironic that Obama's competency is debated while McCain is not questioned.

Regarding "experience"... experience to me means that someone has already figured out how to play the same games and toss around the same rhetoric that's gone on for decades. They have "experience" giving in to lobbyists, covering their ass, making behind the scene deals with other elected officials and anyone throwing money their way.

I'll take someone "inexperienced" over more of the same. I don't like either candidate, but there's no question who I'm voting for between the two.

+1 Thats the same concept as those CEO's that run their company into the ground (AKA the company FAILS), pocket millions to feed their own greed, leave or get fired. Then some other company hires them for more millions because they are "experienced". Ummm no. I'm sick of that crap, I'll take my chances with the new guy.

So NSXRunner, Robr, and Tshchiya.

If Obama wants to add a trillion dollars worth of new government, pay by the tax payers, do you guys want that?

In all honesty. I'm open the try anything. We are already in debt. May as well try something, no matter how radical. Instead of the usual "we promise to do this" yet nothing gets done. I'd rather see something, anything, done. Instead of blowing smoke to win a few votes and look good. If we are going to fail, then fail because we attempted something. Instead of failing by making false promises. But thts just my two cents. My views are pretty radical anyway growing up under a dictatorship and seeing both the good and the bad that can come from it, yes there is some good beleive it or not. But again those are my thoughts and my own only. Everyone is free to think and speak as they wish and I am all for an open forum and happily agree to disagree with people and not think any more or less of said person.
