Is it time to update the Prime homepage

Now don't get me wrong. I think Lud should be given a Nobel prize for what he has done for the NSX community. But [there is always a 'but' isn't there?Why can't people just give a compliment and leave it at that?] it sure would be nice, in my opinion, if the homepage was given a less date specific format and a more generic style that won't age as quickly.

Any thoughts?

This has been discussed before.

The frontpage needs to be kept reasonably uptodate (even with minor changes) because that's what newcomers see. If i visit a website and it's 12mths out of date, i usually leave. All the life of prime is in the forums area.

Plus i nominate we link one of the recent Australian NSX drives to the front page!

I agree the opening page needs to be updated at least monthly. When the same thing has been up for as long as I can recall, that is sad. PLEASE update the opening page.....PLEASE PLEASE - thank you.

One of the things that does get updated fairly regularly each month is the calendar/wallpaper thing that FuryNSX does. Perhaps that could be added to the main page as one of many things that demonstrates the vitality of the site. He's going to the work of creating it anyway .. why not highlight it? I'm sure it's not much more work to just link to it.
Just a suggestion .. and recognition of a great contribution to the site.

That might just generate enough traffic to overload Fury's web host.

Better to keep it amongst ourselves.

Every time someone post's about the front page, the cake should grow, until it takes up the full screen. Then you should make it explode!
Then you can replace the cake with that pic of us at the bank! lol

Did anyone get a pic of the waitress telling Lud he couldn't take pictures in the club? Now that would be a good front page!

IMHO, the Verdana type font used for the forum will make the pages look 'cleaner' than the current Times New Roman type. I created this quick mod of NSXprime homepage with Verdana as the basic font, or click here for the full size.

Last time I said anything about homepage, I got negative reputation stuff. I hope it gets updated soon. Let me know if I can help. Maybe do what someone mentioned and just have a real nice graphic of "NSX" on it. Something not so date specific. We can post all the events and things like that in the forums. Just a suggestion that was not ment to offend anyone!!!! Take care.
