Is Obama a citizen?

I just wish Obama would release the actual documents (not a JPEG on a website) and that would eliminate this whole debate one way or another.

Obama should also release ALL his health records (like McCain did) and not just a brief one-page note from his doctor.

you people are pathetic and bring new meaning to "wing nuts".

edit: i hear alaska is recruiting new citizens.

Agreed.

Obama should just release the info and that would silence these critics once and for all.

By withholding the info it just fuels the controversy.

Absolutely. That would shut the "wing nuts" up.
Why not do it?

I went down to the City Hall in my town and in 10 minutes got a official birth certificate. Why all the screwing around in this case? Should be simple.
in the snopes post they've posted an image of his birth certificate. (added above)

not sure what the issue is.

Apparently there are at least 7 people on NSX Prime who are not voting for Obama simply due to the fact that he is African-American
From this thread here

Are some McCain - Palin supporters blatantly racist?

"I didn't see it the way that it's being taken. I never connected," she said. "It was just food to me. It didn't mean anything else."

She said she also wasn't trying to make a statement linking Obama and food stamps, although her introductory text to the illustration connects the two: "Obama talks about all those presidents that got their names on bills. If elected, what bill would he be on????? Food Stamps, what else!"

Apparently you don't read people's posts in much depth and take polls a little too seriously.

This doesn't surprise me after reading your other posts, specifically the blatantly false political ad you said was done by McCain.

This is a stupid topic, brought about as yet another attempt to discredit Obama's candidacy; and now McCain gets dragged into it. Move on for both, please.

The claim has nothing to do with his parents but rather Hawaii WAS NOT A STATE when he was born!!!!

Hawaii was admitted in 1959, two years before Obama was born.

Perhaps Obama is withholding his documents purposely knowing that it might agitate the fringe and therefore give him ammunition to criticize his detractors.

I just trying to understand his logic on why he wouldn't release this information. It just doesn't make a lot of sense.

@ nsx2tall - with regard to your post... you do know you can delete your own posts?

So don't take the bait then Jim.

Danny,

My main concern about Obama doesn't revolve around whether he's a citizen or not.

It is frustrating that he doesn't release his health, actual birth certs and campaign donor information so that everything would be completely transparent. Whether you support McCain or not, you have to acknowledge his efforts in this regard.

I'm more concerned with the fundamental differences which even transcend McCain and Obama.

Things like...

Wealth redistribution (i.e. Spread the wealth) instead of Wealth Growth
Taxation (all forms - i.e. USA's very high corporate tax)
Gov't Spending (Needs Many Hatchets not a Scalpel)
Corruption and Reform (i.e. Fannie, Freddie, vote fraud)
Reducing the size and scope of Gov't.

In spite of our clear differences in politics, I have always respected your views. With that said, I am in total agreement with your list of concerns as you stated above. How we got there and how we will get out of it is where we differ.

Wealth: The rich got richer and the poor got poorer these past eight years (no Bush bashing intended). On this same trajectory, what do you think will be the outcome?

Taxation: 10 Trillion dollars. Pay now or pay later?

Gov't spending: I've never seen a hatchet used in surgery, yet whole organs, tumors, dead tissue can be removed with a deft scalpel, without killing the patient.

Corruption and reform: Fannie/ Freddie v. deregulation/ 30:1 leveraging. Voter fraud- happens on both sides, even here in Nevada

Size of Government: Less needed when the bottom 50% finally makes more than the top 1%- and I don't mean by dragging down the top 1%.

Danny

In other words, socialism. You can cherry-top it as much as you want, but the rhetoric and the mentality comes straight out of Karl Marx's Communist Manifesto.

One specific thing I'll mention - the gov't spending. It's mind boggling to me why Obama won't have a spending freeze when we are so far in debt... this is what we do in business, what we do in personal life - this is the right thing to do.

Instead, let's keep spending taxpayers money away and request nearly 1 BILLION dollars in special projects. McCain? Effectively $0 in 25 years.

Who are you going to trust with your money? Someone that uses your money as a credit card, or someone that is a good stuart of your money...
