So I called the Acura dealer in Calabasas West Coast 101 to see how much they would charge to replace my Brake Rotors Brake Pads Brake Lines
because I just ordered some new ones that I liked.
then they called me to tell me it would cost 1200 dollars just the labor work.

Are they insane or is it just me..

Insane, absolutly insane

I'll do that at your house, in your convienient, any time at that price. :)

Yes, it's crazy... I'll expect that as a 5-6 hours work, MAX. so in that case, they are charging you $200 per hour.

I am just going to have my friend come over and help me do it... I was going to take it to that place because it just like 5 minutes away from my work place but forget it. I think they look at it like NSX = sucker and try to srew you...

Make sure he had the right tool for the brake lines removal, I overlooked it when I did it to my car... well, ended up losing several nights of sleep and couple hundred bucks...

I will do your brakes. I will pay to fly to Cali without any tools, buy the tools needed to do the brakes when I get to Cali, go out for sushi with you and still have money left over out of the 1200 bucks.

1200 bucks is a crazy amount to change out the brakes. I put new set up on mine and it took me less than 4 hours.

is brake pads same procedure as any other honda. pull out caliper and squeeze the piston back in?
Yes.

The rears are a bit more complicated because of the need to release the tension in the parking brake cable, but that, too, is the same as any other Honda.

Any competent mechanic should be able to do this - even one with experience on other makes but not the NSX or even necessarily other Hondas.

I live in The Netherlands (Europe). But for that price I'll fly to you. The replacement I will do for you in less than two hours. So I have time and money left for a short holiday.

I had one of the techs at my dealership do that very same job on my 91 after work a couple of months ago and he did it in a little over 3 hours. He ended up asking me for $150.
