Is this possible?

The NSX I am considering buying has an aftermarket cd player, does this install look hacked up? Is it possible to revert back to original or is this very difficult? I called the dealer they gave me a quote of $850 for the center console. Is a naviscreen an alternative, even though the outside trim is cut, will it look nice like the photo on right or misaligned with gaps?

Thanks

Anything is possible but as you have already found out just getting a new console is big bucks. Just looking at a picture of the exterior really tells nothing on the extent of the damage to the existing structure, wiring and how much work it will be to restore it back to stock. Most aftermarket systems are installed with the cut and butt splice method with little regard to ever returning to an original system.

The picture of the nav screen install looks good because someone spent hours making and finishing the console bezel to perfection. Unless you have the fabrication and body work experience to do this yourself you are looking at finding a shop that can do to for you and paying$$$.

Hmm, seems steep. I think I paid just under $400 for mine. Are we talking about the center part? I believe there are 3 parts on the console.

Ref#8 from dealer diagram part#11298-SL0-A01
Description: Panel, Center Console *NH1L* (Black)

Looks from the diagram all one piece from climate control down to shifter.
