Lud/Admin/Fellow NSX Prime members,
I’ve purchased many many things off the NSX Prime sale forum with absolutely no problems what so ever…. until recently. I purchased something, or attempted to. We exchanged PM’s and agreed on a price. I sent the funds immediately via PayPal. 2 weeks go by and I PM him to check the status. I was a bit concerned since I haven’t received a simple tracking number as promised. A few days later, I get a reply stating he was out of town due to a sickness in the family. He said he would be back Saturday and send me a tracking number then. Saturday comes and goes, NOTHING! I gave it a few more days…then a week, nothing. So I PM again to check the status, no reply. I can see that my personal message was read thru the message tracking provided by this great website. Still, no reply, no tracking number, nothing. It’s been one month, no tracking number, and of course NO item?! I’ve contacted PayPal and filed a complaint. Whatelse can I do? I’m not so much angry, more disappointed then anything. It wasn’t a large sum of money, but the fact that I was treated this way bothers me. Especially since I was looking forward to receiving the item. Also, I see he has been posting and selling other things as well.
Thanks for listening to me vent,
:(

Make sure you check Paypal's rules as to the maximum amount of time you have to reverse the charges. I had been unfamiliar with the rules and waited too long after being "ignored" by an infamous vendor on this forum and was told by Paypal that they could not do anything about it. Fortunately, my credit card company cooperated and reversed the charge and forced Paypal to get their money back from the vendor. It might be as little as 30 days but I don't recall at the moment.

RSO 34, thanks for your concern. I did contact PayPal and they can not refund money past 30 days if the "seller" has accpeted the funds. I made sure I contacted PayPal right before the 30 day mark. I believe I gave the seller more than enough time!
Thanks,
Z

Net Viper, I will keep everyone posted. I'm going to hold back the person's name until I recieve my money back. I never thought I would have this problem on this forum, especially from someone that is somewhat of a regular. :(
I can't think of a logical reason to be ignored either?! I just don't get it.

I'm sure your situation is of great concern to many here. Of the small amount of buying/selling I've done on Prime, I've been very fortunate that each transaction has been done with honest and forthcoming members.

I hope the best for you and your situation. And hope this doesn't taint your view of the community.

Sounds like a VERY similiar situation I had with a vendor on this site. It ended up being something simple... I had paid the total amount for the item I ordered, his site did not automatically add shipping and handling, ended up taking over a month to receive the items. Honest mistake in my book.

Hope you get this resolved bud.

Please do let us know when/if you get this resolved.
And if you feel it would be a benefit to the rest of the members, also state who it was so nobody else will get taken.

Z: Did you fund your PayPal account via your credit card? If so, I would take RSO 34's advice. Call your credit card company and initiate a chargeback. PayPal, although not the actaul "merchant" (as far as the credit card industry might think of merchant accoutns), they are still bound by Visa/MC rules, and PayPal will generally go out of their way to make their aquiring bank relationships happy.
