Hey Guys,
I figured making a new thread would be the best way to get the word out about my meet this month. Most of you know already it's July 19th (which is also my B-day). Just checked the weather report, Sunny and 86*
So the plan is to meet in Tacoma at 10:00-10:30am near the Point Defiance Park. Considering where to meet, I figure the easiest place to meet would be right off the Hwy-16/6th ave exit. Making a right turn on the 6th ave exit will bring you to a K-Mart about 1 block on the right. There is a huge parking lot there that we can gather and then go to the Park. I'd like to keep an on time schedule but if anyone is late or lost, just call me. If you need my number just PM me.
After the "slow" cruise through the 5 Mile drive (which has great photo opps, so bring your cameras) we will then head down to the Ruston Way Waterfront. There's a nice little tunnel that we have to pass through to get there, so anyone looking to record while driving through a tunnel, feel free to do so. There are plenty of restaurants on the Waterfront that we can stop in and grab a small lunch.
After a quick bite, where off to Dr. Volk's in Burien, (we can all just follow me or Dr. Volk to his house, if you need an address just PM one of us) for a great BBQ, swimming, crocket and just about anything else we can think of. He lives on a gorgeous lake, so don't forget your swim suits. Please bring what you want to throw on the grill, we will be providing Hamburgers and Hot Dogs.
Please note if you are going to make it, weather it's for the whole day or just part of the day so we can get a head count for the BBQ. Please feel free to invite a guest/spouse/friend. Looking forward to seeing you guys on the 19th.
