I haven't been active on prime much although, I will be soon. I have a lot of photos I want to upload but I'm having some trouble trying to upload them to the website. Hopefully I can get this thread going the way I want it. Until then, this video shows how my car was last year. More changes coming soon!

Hey everyone, thanks for the kind words. I'll continue this thread by starting off from the beginning of my nsx journey. It will be an ongoing story with tons of photos, and videos, pretty much a blog of how things came to be. Warning, there's going to be a lot of side-stories that may go off topic but everything slingshots back to my nsx story. I swear this is going to be interesting. Stay tuned!

Back in 2009, I started doing photography for my integra GSR. My love for cars started before I can remember and photography quickly followed because I wanted to document everything I did to my integra. I never really did anything too extreme to it, but I loved it and photos were a way to keep all the memories fresh when I look back on my past. Fast forward, to 2012, I was in the United States Air Force, stationed at Pearl Harbor- Hickam in Hawaii. I was riding in my friends nearly broken 99 corolla. All of a sudden we get passed up by a bunch of fast JDM cars racing on the H3 toward Kailua. I had my camera on me at the time and we decided to follow them just to take rolling shot photos. It was my chance to finally get some photos of some badass cars. It was heavy rain that morning but quickly cleared up on the way back from Kailua. I remember shooting my most favorite shots, probably because it was the most dangerous. Hanging out a window of a gettoh car risking my $6k camera setup, just to take some photos of some guys driving in the rain, sounds crazy right? On the way back, a red supra (Chad, now also owns an NSX.) lined up with us and I reached out and gave him one of my photography cards all while driving on the H3. It was very unnecessary and dangerous to do. But it happened.

Since then, we became good friends and I started photoshooting for their car group, “SMG Hawaii”. That was how I was introduced to Paul Coffman who had the fastest NSX in Hawaii at the time. In 2014, I was tasked to deploy to Afghanistan. A few days before I deployed, I was able to photoshoot Paul’s NSX for Super Street magazine. I did the photoshoot right after I got off work, I was still in my uniform!! Paul even let me drive his car. Funny because I did a 3rd gear pull, well over the speed limit and…. A police officer turned on his sirens. I figured the car was fast enough for us to get away. But I pulled over. I was so scared at the time. I thought my career was over, more importantly I was scared for Paul’s car. I handed the Officer my drivers license and my military ID. Surprisingly he told us…”If you want to drive fast, go on the freeway and bother highway patrol, not this area. Get outta here and drive safe.” No ticket. We were so happy! Unbelievable.

Within the next few hours I submitted my photos to Super Street and they got Paul, a front cover feature with an 8 page story inside. Read about it here, http://www.superstreetonline.com/features/1408-1991-acura-nsx-lovefab-pikes-peak/
When I got back from my deployment, Paul introduced me to Steven Lee, the creator of iLift. Steven wanted some photos and a possible magazine feature opportunity for NSX Driver magazine. I was happy to help out! It was my first time learning about the iLIFT system. The car scene in Honolulu was really tight. I actually saw Steve’s car getting tuned at Sonic's aka HyperSport before I even met Steve in person. Steve is one of those people I look up too. He built his NSX by himself, decades ago. He made his own twin turbo setup, air to water intercooler, gravity fed oil return lines, and even designed the cup kit system way before it got popular. I actually still call him up occasionally to bounce off ideas and get advice from.
I quickly got his front cover feature for NSX Driver magazine. I actually designed the template for his section, wrote the story and of course did the photos. My passion for photography was at an all time high. He asked me if there was anything he could do for me because I refused to accept any type of payment for his photos. I told him “I saved up some money from my deployment. Find me an NSX and I’ll be happy with that.” Steve told me “Okay, I’ll do it.” At the time, I figured he’s just saying that to make me feel better. I had no idea that he already had a plan. He used to live in Kailua and drove past Koko Head shooting range, often. He said he would occasionally see a red nsx parked at the range and he’d start with a note on his car.

Being in the military, I had to say goodbye to Hawaii. I was relocating to a 1 year short tour off the coast of Portugal in the Azores islands. (Largest Air Force aircraft fueling station in the world.) A month after I got to Portugal, I got an email from Steve saying “Good news, I found you the NSX.” Steve actually saw the NSX at the shooting range and left a note on the windshield and the owner responded! Steve along with my friend Felipe helped me secure the NSX. They went over to check it out, and even store it. I actually never met, saw a photo or even heard the voice of the previous owner. All I knew was that it only had 42k original miles, it was a clean title and the car was in decent condition. I made an offer and transferred cash to the previous owner and that’s how I became an NSX owner!!! The NSX was stored at my buddies house until I could go back to Hawaii and pick it up. I owe it to Steve for making me an NSX owner. I purchased my NSX in 2015. Photos to go with the story,

I was in Afghanistan when the Super Street magazine feature came out. I was super happy when that happened. So here's a photo of where I was at during that time,

A few front cover magazines I did. (I was active duty USAF while I was doing all these side gigs.)

welcome and well-done mods..looks coherent...

Welcome to Prime! We're working on upgrading the forum software, which will make picture uploading much, much easier, among other things. The best way right now is to host them somewhere else (I use a shared folder in my Google photos) and link to the URL using the insert photo button.

A couple more photos of my car in Hawaii before I flew it to CA.

I drove the NSX onto this pallet and hopped on my commercial flight to Los Angeles. When I got to LA, I went straight to the shipping airliner and surprisingly my NSX actually arrived sooner than I did. I drove it straight off the pallet. It was the absolute best experience I've ever had transporting a vehicle. (But it can get kinda pricey to do!!!) From LA, I drove to San Diego to take a few photos and hang out with a few friends. Then drove it to San Francisco where it sat in storage while I was stationed overseas in Germany.
