Key won't turn

I can't turn the key in the ignition switch. It's stuck in the lock position.

Any ideas what's wrong?

I'm sure you already tried this, but have you tried turning the steering wheel from side to side?

Other than that, is your key straight? A friend slightly bent mine and had the same effect. Try a spare if you have one.

When I tried turning the wheel side to side it didn't work...but using extra extra force it worked. Kinda weird. I guess I feel real stupid now.
