Was driving to last weeks monthly meeting and was driving past the park when I noticed a young boy about 12 years old eyeing the NSX as it approached. As I got closer I saw his jaw drop and as I passed I heard him say "Sh1t that is COOL!" :)

The previous time I drove it, I passed a couple of kids walking and one of them shouts out "Nice car mister! I love the wheels!"

Also, while at the last Eurosunday a little kid who was about 2 years old kept looking at our NSX's pointing at them and giggling. He was giddy to say the least. As a father myself I found this quite amusing. :)

Anyone else want to share their experiences?

I have very similar experiences as well. I'm actually surprised that a lot of younger kids finds this car cool looking because this car was made way before they were born. I guess there is something universally cool looking about the NSX in its general design that truely is timeless. I'm sure if you put a lot of the classic music cars from the late 50's to the early 70's in front a young child they would probably just think its some old car.

you should see their faces if you put a Decepticon emblem on the side of your car. trust me its the coolest thing ever.

I was driving down 46th street, between J and M streets, here in Sacramento, when a kid, couldn't have been older than 15-16, stared as I approach and simply nods his head and says, "NSX." I smiled and gave him a thumbs up. Shocked a kid his age would know. I guess with YouTube and video games anything is possible :)

All of the Honda fanboi teenagers know this car - after all, it is the greatest Honda ever made. Anyone 15-16 or later in age SHOULD recognize it. But, its the younger generation (ages 6-14) that seem to think its some type of exotic (Lambo or Ferrari) is what I hear them say the most.

You would be supprised. I have found that more kids know what it is then adults, at least in the south. I was out of state once at a gas station and this kid about 7 years old came over and said "may i take pictures of the nsx?"

my girlfriend's son and her nephew, who are 12,love the nsx and are very knowledgeable about it. the nephew in particular is all over the net reading about cars.

The reason you get so many looks from teens is the NSX has been in some of the more recent "Ricer" race movies and video games. These kids can spot a NSX a mile away!

And I guess that the NSX is one of the faster cars in their videogames. Just a theory: what is the price to be the fastest car in a video-game?

Yes I would give credit to videogames, I honestly didn't learn about the NSX in my younger years until I started playing gran turismo

The first time I saw an NSX I hated it ... but, hey, it was in the first need for speed on the 3DO, which was sh*t

Can you blame me ? After all, the game did look like this :

(oh and I was 9)
haha

My 16 year old said that he and his brother used to race the nsx in their video game and that it was a bit squirrely and not that fast. He also use to say that the NSX was too long in the rear but now he has been saying that he likes the car more every time he sees it.......wisdom takes awhile! I am surprised that any of the kids today like the NSX as much as they do. I thought they were all into Pokemon styling, you know sharp angles like in Japanese cartoons.

I was at a restaurant with a friend a few months ago. I had the NSX and he drove his white Ford GT. We sat at a table with a view of the cars. While we were eating, I saw a young waiter out of the corner of my eye staring out the window with his jaw open. I figured he was oogling my friends Ford GT. My friend asked what he was looking at and he said "That's an NSX! I love those!". I had a good giggle with my friend over that.

i went to the grocery store last week and as im pulling into the parking lot theres a kid standing around waiting for his mom to get out the car. he sees my car and immediately sprints to the other side of the car beating on the window. as i drive by i look to see what was going on. lol he was getting the attention of his younger brother to get out to see my car. i go in the store for maybe 5 mins to grab something as im coming out the same kid is standing by his moms car waiting for me to leave to check out my car. his mom and brother were still shopping in the store. the kid looked to be 11 or 12.

+1 on the video games recognition theory. My 8 year old loved the NSX and every time I jokingly said "daddy really needs a Porsche 911S" the reply was "no, I love the NSX". That was until I had the use of a 2009 911S convertible for a week. The kid is now singing a slightly different song.

As an aside and not to hijack this thread, for what it is worth the 911S a fantastic car - still love my /94 NSX with all of 36K on the clock but credit where credit is due - the P-car is what perhaps the NSX could have been had Honda continued to develop/refine it. Last word on the 911S convertible - way too many rattles and sundry other noises for what I guess is probably a 100K car not to mention certainly less structural rigidity than my NSX -obviously due to the lack of a fixed roof - certain that a coupe 911S would be much better.

You've just described most adult men.

WOW! good manners too!

I know, had to smile when he said it. I was already done at the pump but said "take as many as you want" and i just backed out of the way. After taking a few he said "thank you" and walked back over to his family and their minivan two pumps over. Leaving the station i ended up at the light beside the van and his face was stuck to the glass. When the light changed, i gave him a wave and a blast from the air horns. He was grinning ear to ear .

One day when I was driving through the local Dunkin Donuts drive through and in the corner of my rearview mirror I noticed the Van's door behind me open up. Out steps a young boy with a camera. He tooked a couple of pictures. He looked very happy and I was thinking of giving him a quick rev to make it even better for him but decided not to since it would of been a nuisance for other motorists. It was nice seeing his reaction, I doubt there are many cars that can make someone get out of their car just to take pictures of it lol.

Was driving in downtown portland the other day. I stopped at an intersection and there were these two kids holding hands with their dad at the corner while slurping on their ice cream cone on the other hand. They were maybe around 2-3 years old? Very young. Both the boy and the girl dropped their jaw and the funny thing is, the girl went "whooaaaa" as the boy points his finger at my car (with the same hand that he is holding the cone) and drops it to the floor.

For a second i thought the kid wouldve realized he just lost his ice cream but he just kept gazing and pointing with his jaws dropped the whole time i was at the light. Funny haha

...so, you parked, and bought him another cone? ;-)

My nephew(10 years old) came into town for the weekend, at the beginning of his stay all he was talking about was how when he grows up he's gonna get a Mustang. Long story short, after a few rides in the passenger seat over the course of the weekend all he was saying before he left was "When I get older, I'm gonna get one of those!!"(Pointing at the Nsx)

P.s. to all Mustang owners, I did not persuade him against Mustangs, I swear...
