Leather removed from oem steering wheel

Am I the first?

Removed the original leather from my steering wheel. My hands might be the average size for males or perhaps slightly smaller then average. It feels great and much easier to grab. For some apparent reason I feel more in control.

If anyone would like pictures let me know.


(I purchased a like new oem steering wheel for backup before doing this btw. I like the mod so guess I'll keep this wheel in case one day I sell the car and the buyer wants a leather wheel.)

Did you leave the OEM steering wheel naked or did you cover it with something else? Any pics?

Look up www.american-stitches.com, they can do both (ie. black leather -> tan leather, alcantara-rewrap) along w/ many other custom options, for a relatively o.k. cost. They are quite proficient w/ the NSX steering-wheel!
