I just got back from the Zep concert in London. i must say the band performed with so much heart and soul. They rocked through several tracks back to back for 2 hours. Hats off to Jason Bonham for excellent drums. I am sure he would have made his pops proud. Jimmy Page was phenomenal ripping through his bluesy riffs with great ease. Robert Plant needed a little warming up for the high notes but also sounded exceptional given he is 59 yesars old. John Paul Jones had a smile on his face from beginning to end. The concert was well worth every dollar i paid. Hearing Stairway to Heaven, Kashmir, Trampled Underfoot live was a real treat. English people were really polite and classy. A lot of TVRs strolling around the streets of London. They sound real aggressive. Hopefully a tour is in the works.

will try to upload some songs since they allowed us to record and snap pics. I actually met a couple from Jersey right behind me.

Since well over a million people tried to get tix I'd say you are very lucky to have seen them. They might never perform again. I hope they release a DVD of the performance. The soundboard snippets I've heard sound great--very heavy and chugging.

BTW, Trampled Underfoot is Robert Plant's favorite Led Zeppelin song. Legend has it when he recorded the vocals he was in a wheelchair due to breaking his leg or foot or something and he literally fell out of his chair singing he was so carried away.

I'm so jealous...what an amazing show to be a part of. I was able to meet Page/Plant when I had backstage passes on their No Quarter tour. I've always been a huge fan!!

I sure hope they release a live recording of the show...I'll sure buy it.

Well.... do I envy you or hate you?

I'm a diehard fan, have tats to prove it... even though this band broke up on Dec. 4th 1980, which is about 8 months before I was born!

I envy you. If I was in your shoes I'd be ready to die!

He broke his leg after the Physical Graffiti tour (the album that contains Trampled Underfoot). He was in a wheelchair during the "Presence" album sessions......FYI, the best Zep page on the web (containing accurate and current info) is "Tight but Loose".

While the Yardbirds decided their future, Page returned to session work in 1967. In the spring of 1968, he played on Jones' arrangement of Donovan's "Hurdy Gurdy Man." During the sessions, Jones requested to be part of any future project Page would develop. Page would have to assemble a band sooner than he had planned.
