I found in my papers that the previous owner gave me some info on a Lo/Jack system on my car. The papers have my cars Vin. # so I guess one is installed. Is there a way to be certain the Lo/Jack is still in the car and does Lo/Jack test it? I know my home security company wants the system tested on a regular basis. I have never had one before and didn’t know how they work.
Thanks
Terry

You should have received the transmitter(s) that attach to your key(s) that activate the system if the car is driven a short distance without them.

You also have to register at their web site, entering your contact phone numbers and email addresses so you can be notified.

If you drive the car without the transmitters and the service is still active with the previous owner, he/she will be receiving the "alerts".

Go on their website (lojack.com). They have diff plans & products. You need to pay to register with them & they inspect car to confirm system is there & working.

You're assuming that the previous owner also had the "LoJack Early Warning Recovery System" installed which would require the key fob transponder (AKA "LoJack Early Warning Key Pass"). The basic "LoJack Stolen Vehicle Recovery System" doesn't require the key fob.

The new owner will need to contact LoJack to have them test and activate the system which will cost a few $$s. I highly recommend the "LoJack Early Warning Recovery System" if it's not already installed. It's well worth the extra cost. In addition, LoJack recommends an annual system test.

Dunno why you wanna go hi tech with a Lo jack. But for what's it's worth, here is a pix of my lo-tech-jack.
