Through my business I am able to get a special deal on Lo-Jack installation & set up. The regular retail is $595.00 and I am able to get it for $395.00 plus tax. This is the basic Lo-Jack System 1 Retrieve, which is a small transmitter that is activated by a routine police theft report. Installation time is about 15 minutes and only requires placement of transmitter, antenna and power connections. **The system is installed by Lo-Jack installers and each car will be registered through Lo-Jack.

I would like to extend this deal to the other NSX Prime members (who are local) by scheduling a one time installation at this price. This would be a meet/installation get-together. This event would be in Camarillo, Ca. so only So. California area NSXers would be able to take advantage of this (anyone who is willing to drive to Camarillo [93010 IS THE ZIP CODE SO FIGURE YOUR DISTANCE] may also take advantage of this deal.) This is something that is at my cost and I will not be making any profit. Each person will be responsible to pay the Lo-Jack rep. directly while receiving my cost. I will be having 3 of my personal vehicles done as well.

This event will fall on an upcoming Saturday, so please let me know and post which Sat. would be convenient for you and the majority rule will determine the date. Have a little flexibility with your schedule so we all can benefit from this deal. Once we determine the date, RSVP and I'll let the Lo-Jack reps. know approximately how many cars they anticipate to service. Installations will start at 9:00 am so take this into consideration.
**Lo-Jack will install and determine placement of unit, preferably without owners knowledge of location. This is for the safety of the owner in case of a thief demanding to know the location of the unit. This would be at the discretion of the installer. (Rules can be bent)
Private me if you have any questions.

Anyone familiar with get-togethers, I sure could use your help with some ideas to make this a really fun event.

John.

Is 395 the best one can get? If it is... then im in. Any saturday would work for me i think.

This might be a good time to meet with other NSXers and the Lo-Jack installation would be a secondary benefit. After the installations, a drive through Carpinteria, Ojai & Santa Paula might be something that everyone would enjoy.

If anyone has alternative ideas, great! Post any and all of your suggestions. Let's make this really fun!

I'm moving from Del Mar to Santa Barbara in May, so I'll be close by you (Camarillo) and interested in both the LoJack and a mountain drive with other local NSXers. Is May too long to wait?

I already have lojack on my car but I'd like to come hang out and then drive anyway so just let me know when. If you need help with the get together let me know.

Just got in, thanks for your replies. Lud will be posting the Lo-Jack brochure for everyone to look at. Shows prices and description of systems, etc. This event could be held in Westlake or Thousand Oaks if this would be more central to everyone's needs. Got a few that sound interested so far. Post reply or private me with any questions or ideas.

Thanks for the input JChoice! Looks like you will be driving quite a distance.

It wasn't me you saw, but my wife spotted another yellow one here in Camariilo about 2 weeks ago. Darn, and I thought I was unique, oh well, maybe I should have gotten a purple one! Ha!

Glad you will be attending!!

SigEpUCI
& NSXY is the 1st week of May good? This might work out with NSXY's move.

Didn't you drive a yellow one at Gold Coast? That may be the one. I recently went down to pick up some parts from Russ and they didn't have an NSX in stock.

Thanks again for the "Russ Connection" great prices, great service! Sorry Tracy it's just a lot closer...You've been a big help too, always impressed with your service!

John,
A friend of mine owns Conejo Valley Detail in Thousand Oaks. He's got a great shop with all sorts of collectables, antique gas pumps and auto related stuff. Theres usually some exotics laying around too as he does all the areas high end work. I know Saturday is his biggest day, but if you like I can see if he is interested in letting your people install at his place. Maybe he can do some NSX detailing (at club discounts of course) while people are waiting. There's also a few restraunts around as it's right on T.O. Blvd.

I'll wait to ask him until you let me know.

Craig-
That's a great idea! That's just the kind of input that I was expecting from experienced auto entusiasts such as yourself!
Email me to let me know what your friend says and we'll set it up.

Just keeping the topic alive, You know you dont have to have one installed to show up, have a good time and go for a drive.

Let's see a show of names now.

This is going to be more of a get-together. I'll be bringing my digi camera along so we can make it a photo opportunity to post pics on the forum. Yo Anytime,

The Lo-Jack meeting/cruise day sounds great, except that the particular date of such a meeting could be problematical for some of us. I'm not able to get my car up here until some time in May. If this is done sooner, I'll probably not be able to make it. Where do we stand on this now?

Looks like the 2nd or 3rd week of May would be choice. (You've been taken in to consideration on this NSXY) I've also found another NSX'er who would like to attend. Looks like that's 7 so far. A photographer/friend might attend to take some pictures also. Hope we can make it 10 NSX's for this event. Thank you for all the response, John

Yeah, I'd like to attend (I assume you're talking about me, Anytime). If it IS the weekend of May 19th, I'll consider ditching a West L.A. S2K event that I tentatively said I'd join (a coworker drives a Stook, so I thought I'd tag along in my NSX).

May 19th is the last day of E3, which means that I'm guaranteed NOT to have to work that day

I've already got LoJack installed in my car, but I'd still like to hook up with you guys if you wouldn't mind having another car up there.

Better yet, like akira3d mentions that E3 ends on the 19th of May, I was thinking about being up there for that too, so I might already be in the neighborhood.

May 19th = 8 !!! Looks like we have a date picked out. Can everyone agree on this ?
I will contact LoJack to let them know this is confirmed if this is acceptable to all.
I will private everyone to see how many we have for the install so that we have an idea of how much time to set aside. So afterwards we can do lunch, take pics, and go for the drive.
Akira any particular route(s) you'd like to take? Craig, Sig, NSXY, JChoice?

Think coastline and canyons. Have no real preference as I haven't spent a whole lot of time in the canyons off of highway 1, but would like part of it to be along the coast (for picture opportunities and such). Of course, we shouldn't discuss details of the routes in a public forum

I'm going to try to make the event as well, but am not interested in the Lo-Jack.

Regarding the route.. The less travelled, the better, so we can have some fun and have less chance of encountering unwelcomed company..

Yo Anytime,

With so many intsalls done at one time, is it realistic to expect enough time in the day for a mountain road cruise together?

If so, and if the meet will be in 1000 Oaks, I suggest a counter-clockwise inland route. I think that the more twisty and hilly the course the better. I hate going in straight lines in a car meant for country road driving.

Understandable that we will not discuss our route(s) on the Forum. We'll private ea. other for those details. I called a rental place and just an idea is to use some 2 way radios for communication and/ "warnings" of what might "impede our flow." BTW cost of rental is $6.00 for the day if you would like a radio.
I am gathering some NSX related items for a raffle that day. These are items that I will be donating and are gifts to the attendees as a gesture to all that show up! More on that later.
Just spoke with my photographer friend
& he will be attending. If all goes well with a studio he works for, he will be bringing a video camera like the one used in The Blair Witch Project. Won't be as frightening, though. Ha! He'll also have his regular camera to do so awesome still shots. He will bring his portfolio to show some ideas of his work and what is available. Next week he'll post some examples of his work on his web site and I'll link you to it if desired. This would be a good time to do a custom avatar (I will be taking advantage of this)
NSXY--Please email me privately.
