Long term durability of the Ebay rotors?

Has anybody had the Ebay rotors on for some time? I searched and initial impressions seem to be good - however I was wondering if these things hold up well over time.

For those that don't know - I am referring to the generic cross drilled/slotted rotors that are offered by several vendors on Ebay for cheap.

I have never had them, but I image that for the street any rotor will hold up well. However, at the track is where quality or lack there of might show.

I was wondering the same thing, but PARTICULARLY the brand by "88rotors"

They said the rotors are manufacturer here in the USA. That includes the process in creating the blank to final slotted/drilled rotor.

manufactured in the usa?

They are usually drilled here in the USA on a CNC machine but made in the USA? not so sure about that.

whats their price range.

Thats what I thought. But I asked them once. They replied. I asked them to be sure. They replied. And I asked them once again to be certain. They replied. Yeah, they claim FULL manufacturing here in their factory in the USA.

ask then who manufactures the cores. They will know and once you know who manufactures the cores, you can go online and find out where the cores came from.

I bought F/R drilled rotors from http://www.irotors.com via E-Bay. The rotors were marked Bradi. A few thousand miles with OE pads and no problems. I do not track or race though.

They are Bradi in Brembo boxes I think Brembos lower quality brand

Fronts didn't last one track day  More like 2 15min sessions than the normal thunk, thunk, thunk, and I E-Brake into the PITS. I don't drive the NSX on the street don't want to get run over

My understanding of "cross drilled" rotors is that actually drilling blank rotors causes damage that reduces the life and reliability of the rotor. High-end cross drilled rotors are cast with the "drilled" holes in them.

As mentioned above, reliability issues are multiplied at the track.

You'll be fine for street driving. They are unlikely to crack on the street. On the track they will likely crack and/or warp.

To ensure you are getting decent quality, ask for Brembo or Bradi blanks/cores. Those are Italian made and the two of the top quality blanks you can get. The name Brembo or Bradi will be visible on the rotors edge.

Like the others have suggested, if you are just cruising the streets then you will be fine. The cross drilled/slotted do look good which is why I had a set. If you plan on driving your car hard at all, then don't bother with them. This happened to me after being at Deals Gap. I now have powerslots all the way around.
