Hey guys, I live in Richmond and am considering buying the Taitec GT Lightweight exhaust for my stock 91 NSX. I have not heard one in person and wanted to get that experience before actually buying the exhaust. I plan on getting the Taitec headers too, so if you have both installed, that's even better. I'd be happy to drive to meet you when and where it is convenient for you.

Thanks

Buy it :) And while you're at it take your cats off and you'll have the meanist sounding NSX around :) I use to live in your area and could have shown you... I think it's part fun and part safety... Fun b/c it'll cover your Acura valve chatter... and safe b/c it creates surrounding awareness... since you are so low/people struggle to see you... at least ppl will hear you coming. It never occured to me until one day when I pulled up next to a truck at a red light... who said... "I never saw you coming and was about to cut lanes... but I heard something really mean sounding... so I didn't change lanes though I needed to"... I think it saved him from changing lanes and running over me... It makes ppl aware of you... I noticed a really big difference/decline in getting cut off etc.

These sound clips are with a crummy digital still camera... but this is the lightweight and the cat bypass pipes...

Lee, holy smoke, that would definitely wake up my stuffy neighbors! I assume this is your car? Can you drive it back up to Va to hear it in person? How much of this sound is a function of having the cats removed vs the Taitec exhaust itself? How does it sound when cruising?

Thanks for the quick reponse guys!

A little OT but I'm in northern VA and I a ZTek catback left over from my 91 NSX. Personally I loved the sound, absolutely no droning. Anyway it's collecting dust and I'm looking to sell it cheap. PM me if interested. Thanks and good luck with your decision.

Nihilation, just send you a PM.

I have a LWGT exhaust, with a sos header and comptech high flow cats. I love the exhaust. it is a bit on the loud side.

I10101I, I'm looking for a header and exhaust combo for more HP, but also gives a bit more growl than stock (like ~20% more, not 80%) I think I need to hear it in person...where in Va are you located?

By the way, Chris said he might try and get a meet set up for April in NOVA...I think that would be a good opportunity for me to hear a bunch of aftermarket exhausts first hand.

Thanks to all for their help!

I am all for a NOVA meet!

If it is warm, we should take a ride to Georgetown and have lunch outside at Sequoias.

Hi I Live in the Richmond area as well I am running Comptech Headers and Exhaust. I love the way it sounds on my 92, Trust me may sound loud at startup but very Smooth and non-intrusive at Speed.
