By way of example, I did this in the two '67 Jaguar E-types I drove for many years by simply removing the mechanisms beneath the seats and bolting them directly to the floor. There is significant space beneath the NSX seats - enough to admit my hand and forearm - and there are simple tubular brackets on either side of the seat [/SUB][SUB]shaped like an inverted "U" which elevate it off the floor. Each bracket is bolted down to the floor at the front and rear, and up into the seat frame in the middle. [/SUB]

[SUB] A bracket with less elevation would do the trick, I think, but no one seems to have addressed this problem. I've called and E-mailed several shops which sell racing seats (and brackets) for (mostly 1st and) 2nd gen NSX; no joy. My dealer says the factory has nothing to offer. I think this simple measure, which worked 50 years ago, should still be workable. If I had pertinent shop, parts and electrical manual pages I might attempt this myself; but I haven't seen a source for these documents. (Why electrical? I'd like to preserve the heated seat function, but I probably should disable the power seat function, at least fore-aft, because if I eliminate the space for the cables under the seat, they might be fouled if the seat moves.)[/SUB]

Take the brakets off take them to a local machine shop and have them create new ones with much lower bolting mounts... it should be very straight forward for a machine shop to do but you will have to make it easy for them and take the bracket off so they can measure and make you a new one also it wont be cheap... Good luck !!!

First gen owners would also thin out the seat padding to lower it. I don't know if that is applicable for the new seats, but that may help also.

Thanks to amgeater and N Spec for suggestions. I've asked Acura for pricing and availability for a spare bracket, so that I might modify it (leaving the original untouched). This will likely be prohibitively expensive, and so as you suggest, fabricating one from scratch seems the best approach. Removing padding was straightforward on the original NSX but appears not to be so on this one, and even if it were I think I would need to move the bolsters apart.

In a year or two I expect there will me multiple solutions posted. I continue to hope for advice from an early (or earlier) adopter.
