Mine took a massive dump today without any warning
Clutch pedal was fine yesterday and today when I backed out but then I was in first and letting the clutch out but it decided to not come back up. Then under the car was a pool of brake fluid. I thought there was a warning period where the clutch pedal hesitates coming up?

Usually the leak is under the driver floor board. Sounds like a pressurized hose ruptured.

You might want to consider changing the front and rear since they work together.

Good idea...however the dealer just left a voicemail saying the slave is $300 but when I check online its about 115 :frown: The master is $85 online but they might charge me $250  Not sure how to go about this...

While doing my engine refresh, I noticed the slave leaking a bit. I ordered both. When I went to replace the master it was leaking also. I think everyone should inspect theirs. Better yet, if you have a 91-95 car it would be reasonable just to replace them and the fluid.

took the car there last night...cost me 225 to flat bed it there since its 40miles away so car is stuck there.

Funny thing..... today I wanted to take mine out for a drive and my clutch went flacid on me. Could not get into gear and the clutch pedal was all mushy.:frown:

A year ago i had the same problems turned out to be just only the hose between the slave and the metal line. the hose is about 30cm long and costs almost nothing and is very easy to replace (30 mnts.)

I couldn't tell, anyway trusted mechanic said its the slave.

You should consider changing the master now, because you will have to change the master soon anyway, been there, done that! No value in a second flatbed:).

I have to agree with Larry's advice... I wound up changing a leaking slave, of course after a short time later the master went... and few days after that the flex line sprung a leak. If I was to do it again I'd do all 3 at the same time, flush the fluid out and you'll be good for many years to come...

change them both at the same time.

if one is going out, the other is soon to follow since master and slave share the same fluid.

ouch on the flat bed!!!
