I got quoted 600 for clutch install and 1,310 for timing and 1,4xx for timing with valve adjustment does that sound fair or high. This was at mechanics direct and they said the price is kind of compared to the experience as they work on them alot more than the factory? any opinions

$1200-1400 is in the normal range for a competent mechanic with NSX experience. I don't see $600 for a clutch as too outrageous--it's typically $400-600.

Typical prices are $600-800 for a clutch installation, $1200-1600 for a timing belt and water pump replacement, and $400 for the valve adjustment. Sounds like Mechanics Direct's prices are extremely fair, lower than most places. And they do indeed have quite a bit of NSX experience. Go for it!

Note - when you replace the timing belt and water pump, it's a good idea to replace the cooling system hoses (if not all of them, at least the major ones) as good preventive maintenance, to prevent an unexpected failure.
