Anyone know anything about the wide spectrum of mentoring organizations? I'm a 60 YO WASP engineer wondering who to call (to give, not receive). I think I would do well with someone in high school or older who can grasp some of life's lessons that typically only come with time. If I try to picture the ideal mentee, a guy in his 20's or even 30's struggling with career or major life issues comes to mind. Not your typical Big Brother need, is it?
I'm also wondering about the 'pitfalls'. I'm sure there are some wild stories out there, but what would be some of the more common pitfalls which I take to mean problems and disappointments?
Any recommendations on organizations that I should look into?
