Is this safe? I have some TC105Ns in a 17x8 +32 fitment up front and i've had a bit of rubbing, but i think most of the issue was purely due to ride height.

I am thinking of dialing in a bit of negative camber and i've since raised the car about a 1/2" but I'm wondering if I should play it safe by having wheels milled down.

I took it to a local wheel shop and they said they'd be able to confirm once the wheels were on their machine but they can probably take down about ~5mm. I had neglected/forgot to tell them that the wheels were forged, however. Would this make a big difference and is it even worth it to try to mill them down?

I'm on dunlop star specs 215/40/17s, btw. thanks in advance!

WedsSport TC105N is a CAST wheel.
It uses a Advanced Metal Framing (AMF) flow form technology which gives the barrel a "forged like" structure and that helps make it lightweight.

I have milled down my Work Varianza T1S wheels down 4mm off the hub. It definitely helped and shouldn't be too much of an issue.

You can also contact user "angus" as he has had experience with milling down wheels with great success.

It should be no problem to mill them 4-5mm, this HAS to be decided by the wheel repair shop that does it, as they will be able to look at it and decide what is safe.

thankls for the replies guys. I was under the impression that the wheels were forged, but for the price it makes sense. I'll be calling the shop shortly to get it taken care of.

Yeah, it's a marketing thing that's misleading.
Some call it "Rotary Forged", some call it "Semi-Forged", some just straight up call it "Forged" when it really isn't.

The reality is that the wheel is first cast in a mold. Then they pressure stretch the barrel which sort of "forges" that part of it. You end up with a wheel that has a cast center and a "forged like" barrel.

But not to worry, the wheel is definitely top quality.
