I have a set of MITA S wheels in bound. Once I get tires mounted I'll post up some pictures.

I went with the 17 square setup in Washi Grey.

17 x 7.5 ET40 Front
17 x 9 ET40 Rear

Confirmed they will fit over my Stoptech ST40 calipers.

In for pics! I have OEM type S 16/17s and the additional brake clearance for 17 is tempting.

Well, it took long enough but here it is. Great service from @MITA Motorsports. The biggest delay was getting the wheels through customs. Must have sat in San Fransisco customs office for two weeks.

Mounted Falken Azenis RT615K+ tires. 215/40R17 front and 255/40R17 rear. I'll post more (and better) pictures soon.

Nice! What are your offsets?

Next up - will be replacing the yellow ST calipers with ST Trophy calipers. Stay tuned!

Looks killer! Was debating getting a set in silver.

That does look great. To be clear, that is the Washi Grey?
Yes - It is advertised by Mita as Grey Metallic or Washi Grey. Never having seen an actual Washi Grey wheel I can't say for sure how close it is to the Washi Grey Honda used on their Zanardi wheels. It is definitely not the BMW Silver that Mita also sells.

The Washi Grey seems to be a super-secret, highly classified (LOL) paint as I've never been able to find a paint code. There has been speculation that Dupli-Color has a close match, but again I've never been able to compare one against another.

Some post-installation thoughts.

I came from a 17 / 18 setup with Titan 7 T-S5 wheels. Had 17x8 in front and 18x10 in the rear. Ran a 215/40R17 and 265/35R18 respectively (pretty standard setup). Going to the Mita Type-S wheel I went with the 17 squared fitment. 17x7.5 ET40 in front and 17x9 ET40 in the rear. Same sized tire in front - 215/40R17 and 255/40R17 in the rear. The rear diameter difference between the 255/40R17 and the 265/35R18 is .5". The 255/40 being .2" larger in diameter than the OEM 245/40R17 fitted to the rear.

Maybe it is the reduced wheel width in the front, but the steering felt noticeably lighter. Certainly wasn't power steering light but a difference over the previous 17x8 wheels and A052 tires.

There is less tire poke with the new tire and wheel package which I prefer. Both front and rear tires are inside the top of the fender opening.

Ride quality with the Falken Azenis RT615K+ is very good. Low noise and good road feel. I went with the Falkens as they were the least expensive tire option in the specification I wanted. Less than $600 delivered from TireRack.

Overall I like the 17 /17 look and the wheels fit over the Stoptech ST-40 calipers.

Dang! Nice dream setup!
