Mud Guards ???

Does anyone know if there are mudguards available for the NSX ? I had a set on my VR4 that were very plain and simple. They were barely noticable and did a great job of protecting the side sills and rear quarter panels. They did not affect the looks of the car at all. I'd like to see the same thing for my Acura.

Help !

Larry

p.s. Gene, can you come up with something as ingenious as the front plate bracket ?

No, that is pretty much a stupid question.

You're right, that was a stupid question. What's wrong with me ? How dare I try to protect my aluminum rocker panels and quarter panels from road gravel, sand and the occasional tar splatters on my $90,000 car. Gee, what was I thinking ?

Thanks Todd for getting me to see the light and getting that ridiculous notion of "mudguards" out of my head.
How did I ever make it this far in life without your guidance ?
I can't wait to see what other stupid questions I'll come up with.

Now, now, let's play nice.

And don't forget, when you see that little smiley face, that means someone is kidding around. No need to take offense.

Won't work. I have an '87 Legend Coupe.

Smiley face or not, I wrote about this seveal months ago and got flamed.

I agree with Larry, I would love to provide protection. This NSX is the ONLY car I have ever had without mud guards. I have had lots of cars, many of them as beautiful as my X.

As I recall, my comment last time was something like:

Sure, they come standard with the Bell TT kit. They're called intercoolers.

Pardon what may be a stupid question, but what would you mount them to?

If you can answer that question, perhaps someone would be willing to fabricate them. I bet a bunch of people would buy them if they could be easily installed and removed like a nose mask.

Just like the nose mask, people may not like the look all the time but are always looking for ways to protect their car on long drives.

The best looking ones I've seen are not your typical flat style. I saw some on a BMW that were really nice. They are trimed out to where they almost look like they are part of the panel, e.g. blend into it. In fact the leading edge near the tire goes pretty far down toward the road and then gently slopes back up to the panel. I'll see if I can find a picture. Maybe SoS would be interested in fabricating some since it would be something up NW folks could use too. Hey Chris are you listening? Also how about my Targa flare idea?
