nice build:smile:..... any more tanks?

Nice tank. Can you post a pic with the room lights on so we can see the whole take setup?

I've wanted to get a reef tank for years, but my wife and I got into the world of show dogs and most of our time and money go into that at this point.

I don't have any full room shots right now. This tank used to be a reef. Talk about $$$$$$. I could've bought a comptech SC for the cost of that reef.

pics of the old reef tank....

Beautiful tank and setup!! I love the way you've got a little bar around the edge. I was thinking of doing an inset design in my basement as well. I'm running a 72G bowfront with Africans right now... will post up some pics later. Your saltwater setup looks amazing too! I've been debating going down that route for years... but it's big $$$ and big maintenance.

Very nice, I been keeping koi in my backyard for over a decade now, I started out with small fish tank, then to salt water and finally to my pond.

Both tanks are beautiful. The $$$ is the only thing stopping me. Our dogs would love watching fish, but alas we show a Rottweiler with a professional handler across the country and it eats a fair amount of dough.

You could do a cichlid tank on the cheap pretty easy. Used tanks are everywhere. I'm sure there is a local fish club/forum you could join. They always sell fish they breed for peanuts compared to saltwater. Filtration and pumps are very inexpensive compared to saltwater tanks. When I switched mine from SW to FW, the sale of two of my pumps alone paid for my whole build including livestock. If you travel a lot, FW is definately the way to go as SW needs constant attention and something is always about to go wrong.
