NA2 oem hdrs --> aftermkt headers in NA1

I don't think you'll see much of a gain. SoS says the Cantrells will give you a little but wouldn't be worth changing it. Spend the $ on something else.

Thats what I figured. I was curious because currently on ebay are I believe Topspeed headers, they're $579 + $45 shipping. They're for the NA2 supposedly. A killer price when our own vendors sell the same one for $8xx and NA1 for $6xx.

I guess beer and boobs it is!

I felt a noticable difference when I upgraded to NA2 headers w/ test pipes and Gtone 5.1.
Felt like a nice 25hp or so and makes the car much more enjoyable!

The NA1 manifold is truly crap!

what kind of a difference do u feel from the NA2 Headers?
i have some that im putting on this season

Car came this way. Never had ANY problems with smog either. Then again, these smog guys are too busy talking about the car instead of actually inspecting it. Which is good. Another reason I'd like to run some non carb legal headers.

I don't know what the gains are. Seat of the pants, it feels like everyone else's car is faster (from the passenger seat anyways lol) but everyone says mine feels or sounds faster. Who knows. All I know even oem NA2 headers are worlds better than the boat anchor NA1 manifolds.

The NA1 header is truly crap!

Manifold lol

I agree if he was running stock NA1 chokers on his car but he said he has OEM NA2 headers which is already an upgrade over stock NA1. I guess to get the most out of it he can go aftermarket. SoS dyno says you can gain about 15hp above teh NA2 but the Cantrells are the only ones they tested that give that much of gain over other aftermarket headers. So if you want to get even more then that'd be a good choice to do if you've done everything else (exhaust) already.

I personally replaced the NA1 headers with Cantrells and considered the stock NA2 headers but wanted to get the most performance that I could.

More reading/opinions.
