NAV POD INSTALL?????what to buy?

hey all......just got a NAV POD to put in my 95....what system fits good in the pod? i want it all ...DVD , SAT NAV, TV , CD all the toys..but i need a good system.....The car has all stock unit in it right now..... let me know whats out there...thanks for the input.....

The only part that fits in pod is the external monitor - you will need a head unit plus the other ancillaries to provide the capabilities you want but none of these will physically locate in the pod.

I thought about doing the same thing, but then I realized the only thing I wanted to see was the road, and the only thing I wanted to hear was my engine :smile:

I had the same issue..I've had the pod for about 4 months now..so Finally I got me a Clarion N.I.C.E. GPS/DVD (input)/MP3/SIRIUS unit which is a little tooo big for the POD..So I will have to do surgery on this thing and hope that it does not come out HIDEOUS :frown:


I will post photos once I am done.

Hey Ken,


My friend told me that they no longer make dvd shuttles but only in dash units. So thats why I did not consider Alpine anymore......plus the monitor does not fit correctly in the navpod........I heard you have to make a bezzle for it and that maybe a 7inch monitor will fit better?

YUP..Wide and deep..Plus the connectors in the back might hit the top of the dash..we shall see...

Also, the reason I picked the NICE unit is because I have a Clarion Head Unit with an AUX IN (DRZ9255) and would match aesthetics.
