Okay, I just bought a 2000 NSX which came with 19s all around. The fronts have been rubbing very bad. I've decided to bit the bullet and get new RIMS and Tires. What's the best size combo or would 18 inches all around be okay? What should I look for 18x8 front and 18x9 rear or other sizes? I've seen some people recommend 17/18 combo or 18/19 combo. What's the benefit vs same size all around. I just want a smooth running car. Thank you.

17/18 is my vote.

I run my OEM 16/17 on the street and 17/17 on the track.

Problem with 16 tire size availability (very limited) and BBK clearance.

17/18 looks best. Why do I run 17/17 on the track? Well, even though I think 17/18 looks better the cost of a pair of 18s tires is $300 more than the same 17 with no performance benefit (actually 18s are heavier). And remember 5k miles out of the rears on the NSX is good. On the track, I buy 3-4 sets of rears a season.

So.... for your street car I think the best option is 17/18 as far as looks, tire availability, cost, weight, etc.

Figure out what tire you want to run first and then see what the available size and costs are, then look for wheels.

Could you just buy two fronts to match your rears(18"?)
