Hi.

I'm interested in putting together an event here in the Maryland/Suburban DC area whereby exotic car owners will provide a unique and enjoyable experience to children by putting together a car show where we hang out with the kids and for those that are willing, giving rides in their cars.

However, I am not entirely sure how to go about doing this. I know that a couple of years ago, some guys went to Watkins Glen and took kids for rides in their cars around the track, which was awesome, but I'm not looking to do this at a track.

I'm looking for ideas and and hopefully some folks that would like to participate.

Thanks!

-Michael

They did something similar to that down here, except there were no rides given; the liability was way too great to even think about that... they did have a car show and let kids have their picture taken with the cars / sitting in them... the general public could have their picture taken for a small fee i believe (donated to the charity i believe as well)...

Partnering with a children's hospital(or such a group) might be the easiest to plan for. In this way, high-thrill rides are not expected. You're creating a very fond memory for the child and the family. I know this type of event has precedent in Ohio and in the UK.

Thanks guys! I'm going to be calling Children's Hospital soon. ANYTIME has offered to provide some advice, so I'll be calling him soon. I'll be in touch soon!

MG- PM me. I have someone in MD you can call that has an email list of local exotic car owners

Michael,
How about Kings Dominion or Busch Garden trip.
Group rate and reserve parking lot (front row) will make everybody interested.
