Hi All,

I just made the swap from a 99' Vette to an 01' NSX-T. I thought I'd write a quick note and say hi. You all were a significant help in making my decision(been lurking here a few weeks now). I got the bug for a mid-engine car. Looked at Lotus and Ferrari. Decided NSX fit my needs best. As the rest of you have known a while, it's an awesome car!

I just wanted to say Hi and Thanks. I tend to lurk in forums more than anything, but I'll contribute where I can. There's a ton of info here. Great job!

Welcome! Nice photo, too!

We have a lot of NSX owners in Ohio, many of whom will be making the easy one-day drive to Wisconsin to join 100+ NSX's at NSXPO 2001. Remember, this event moves all over the country from one year to the next, so grab it while it's relatively close by.

I realize it's not quite as close to you as NSXPO '98 was.

Does this location look familiar?

Congrats and welcome! Silverstone is an awesome color on the NSX...could easily see myself in that color one day. Enjoy!

Thanks all. So far it's been a blast.

Just one question(well maybe a couple) This is by far the best(read most expensive) car I've owned. I'm paranoid as hell about not having visual contact with it. Anyone else have trouble parking their NSX?

Also, should I get a parking-lot door ding. After I'm done crying(or thrashing the culprit), what can I do? Can the Dent Wizard type services smooth out Aluminum? They did wonders on my Wife’s SLK, but I’ve never asked them about aluminum(kinda miss the plastic my Vette was made of<g>)

nsxtasy: The expo sounds cool. I'll think about it. I don't recognize the location, but it's the best looking parking lot I've ever seen

Sure. For example, check out: http://www.nsxprime.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/000285.html http://www.nsxprime.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/002160.html

Yes. However, it's easier to avoid them in the first place by being careful about where you park.

The NSX's in the photo are in the parking lot next to the Athenaeum (the brown building) in downtown Columbus.

Woah, NSXTASY, thanks for digging up that older thread...kinda weird to be reminded that my concerns about my NSX parking situation were started as early as June 2000.

Hey! That's my car!

Okay, maybe not...

I love the Silverstone color - it was definitely worth the headache of flying to Portland and driving it back to Phoenix (kind of fun too

Congratulations and welcome!

Welcome to the Silverstone Club! I really wanted a blue NSX, but they are hard to find. Never thought I would own a silver car, but once I saw an NSX in Silverstone, it was all over but the paperwork.

Hope to see you at NSXPO.

Matt

Is it my imagination, or is the metal flake in the Silverstone more "sparkly" than the Kaiser which preceded it?

I don't know, I didn't see the other silver(s). Here's a closer shot:

I haven't seen the other NSX silvers in real life but the Silverstone does have more metal flake in it than the average paint - at least in my opinion.
