Was sorry not to be able to get the new Type S so just purchased this 2017 with every option very similar to the Type S I had spec'd. Was just shipped from Chicago to Norcal so should arrive Sunday or Monday. Here it is just as it was leaving for shipping. Excited to get it! Has all options plus iLift, full wrap, and Escort Max 360 Ci. Cannot wait.....

The one thing I like on this car vs the type S is these wheels! (thought people love or hate wheels!). I wanted these on the Type S and was disappointed could not get them but those matte black wheels with either this red or Nouvelle Blue are what I had spec'd. The only thing this car does not have vs the S I wanted was i liked the black/red seat combo available in the S and this car is 100% black. This car also has all the options like the lightweight package in the S so all good. This one also had the JB4 box added which have the disable plug in for smogging next week so it supposedly gives me 40 extra horses. excited to learn from others here on the forum! most excited i have been for a car since the old S2K in '99.

make sure to post more pics after you get it.also see if you can find out specifics on what ppf was used and if ceramic was placed over it. There are special cleaners made for ceramic coatings..

Styling first impressions

car arrived from shipper just as it was getting dark last night so no real drive yet but have to say the depth in this red is amazing and the wow factor of this car is incredible. In person is a must for these cars as the pics do not capture how beautiful this car truly is. Still has the feel of the fighter jet like the first gen in person. Will take it for first drive today and later this week once done with work will take a few pics and post. Just looking at this car gets it done! wow. Thankful to join the other NSX owners here! - Ted

Congrats! Ironically enough, I'm not in love with the Type S wheel choices either.

More pictures!

‘Now that you have your new car, might I recommend that if you don’t already know what services have been done go to a local Acura Dealer and have the Service Manager pull the records on the car. See what has been done and or needs to be done. I would recommend that you flush the brake fluid as our brakes are by wire and there are some interesting mechanisms for making the brakes work. It should run around $150 to $200. The oil should be changed yearly, regardless of miles driven-about $400+. There are the cabin filters that you can change if handy. Pretty much everything else is by time or mileage. Honda has some of the best fluids in the industry. They are hard to beat. As for extended warranty, your 2017 depending on the in service date is close to over the original 4 years or 50,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty. There is an extended Acura warranty that you can add. Even if you are outside the time window you may still be able to get it. You would need to inquire. I think an additional 5 years and 80,000 miles is around $4k to $5k. Enjoy

Excellent advice here.

I just had my winter wheels and tires put on and an oil and filter change today.

$479.48 for everything. The oil and filter piece was $300.78.

This was only my second oil and filter and the car is over 5 years old, 14,254 miles.

I had the nth dialog with the service advisor and he reiterated, just maintain per the computer.

The cabin and engine filters are in the yellow zone and he didn't recommend changing those yet.

The Contis' are also in the yellow zone, so one more season for those, and then I will go with the new Pirellis from the Type S.

Bricks, what are you using for winter tires? Just curious what NC1 folks are doing.

For winters I have Pirelli Sotto Zero 3 tires in OEM sizes on a second set of Y spoke wheels.

I really like these tires and have a set of the run flat version for my LC 500 convertible.

Thank you!

This is awesome - thank you for this!

I had to laugh: I just bought an NSX after having my type S order fall through, so now im officially part of the club too (separate post coming). Valencia red would have been my choice on the type S (I went with Indy Yellow). That color made my wife fall in love with the car the first time she saw it at the Marysville Honda Heritage Center. Congratulations!

Congratulations, I like the Valencia Red, great color, it really pops in the sunlight. I am using a Uniden R7 with a blendmount connected to the rearview mirror, as soon as I get the mirror tap done, no cord hanging down.
