New owner (after a very long search)

so the story goes that I saw an ad for an NSX in a magazine in 90/91 timeframe... I cut it out, put it in my scrapbook with a note: "someday"
(I still have that ad and the note)

Have been hunting for the right NSX for a decade, have met some nice folks along that journey. Three separate occasions to purchase over the years just didn't work out for various reasons and recently the stars aligned and there is now a 2000 red/tan 6spd NSX in my garage. :smile:

I purchased the car from Rob4092xx here on Prime. VIN #225
He showed the vehicle at a local car show about 6 months ago which prompted my u-turn, inspection, and immediate purchase desire.
Soon as I saw it, I knew.. this is THE NSX I want to buy.

The first time I met Rob I gave him a standing offer for the car.
Its absurdly clean and the guys at SOS can attest to that.
Given the amazing condition and 16K mileage, I am first, a caretaker and second, the occasional driver.

Without Prime, this "someday" would not have happened.
The information herein is incredible and invaluable.

i have the same sort of a desire for a springer softail custom HD. i tell my wife i won't ride it, i will just polish the chrome and stare at it but she still will not let me buy one.
regarding my NSX, i own it to drive it. i really do not look at it that much, but i love to get behind the wheel, put the passenger window down and listen to the tubi symphony while i shift at 6000 + RPM and feel the speed...
i have today off, maybe i will give it a spring cleaning.:biggrin:

Congrats! Sounds as though you got a good one.

When I was 15 years old I had the same lust now I'm onto my 3rd NSX!

The next "someday" for me is the new McLaren MP4-12C
