It seems as if I should be getting my car back by the weekend. I originally sent it to Turbo Trix here in NJ to have them install my low comp motor so I could run more boost with my BBSC.....but plans drastically changed:biggrin:

I will post pics and dyno sheets as soon as I have them.

Great, to hear you got it back. (I'm pulling my motor out this weekend for some upgrades, will be out for few weeks..)

Do post dyno and pics :)

Turbo Trix is a great shop, they did the tunning on my car. Did they build the turbo kit for you?

I remember seeing your car there a while ago, I had my Talon TSI AWD being tuned. They certaintly know their way around any DSM Turbo products:wink:

Honestly I had no issues with the BBSC....I think its a great option if properly installed/tuned. The kit that is being installed on my car is a custom kit that Turbo Trix plans on marketing. The design is pretty intense and completely different than the other kits that I have seen. I'll keep everyone up to date

Install is complete!! Tomorrow the tuning begins. Mark likes to dyno tune and then keep the car for a couple days to really dial it in with street tuning as well.

Im off tommorow and would love to see that puppy on the dyno, I'll call you when I wake up...say noon:biggrin: Call me when your passing by my house:wink:

Looks pretty! any shots of the intake and cooler? From the looks of the turbo, it seems you're probably boosting around 3K 35K rpm's. What's the scoop, how does it feel?

Still at the shop:frown:....slave cylinder needed to be replaced....according to the shop should make full boost by 4k....HTA GT37R turbo with T4 housing

What is the benefit of going with this turbo setup as apposed to a pre existing kit say the LoveFab? Interesting to see someone local doing the turbo thing. Im planing on going with the new lovefab kit this winter and would like your comparison on the two setups.

I've never personally driven in a LoveFab car.......but have never heard anything bad about the kit. In fact, I've never heard anything but good things about it. Cody helped me with some stuff for my BBSC and was a pleasure to deal with. As I explained earlier the turbo build came up totally unexpected and I just went along with it. Turbo Trix does plan on making additional kits for the NSX so after I post more pics and dyno sheets if you like what you see give them a call for pricing. You may be suprised.

Actually the one benefit if you wish to call it that is that mine is a gravity fed design eliminating the need for an oil sump.

The problem your going to encounter right off the bat is when and if you do track it, the G's are going to pose a significant problem by building and slowing the flow of the return line. And, if you go on a little mountain run uphill the g's will slow the return. You might not see it now, but give it time and you'll see smoke. I know, i built many turbo kits and i myself when i fabricated my turbo kit made it higher then yours by sludging the trunk sheet metal to be able to raise over 6". those extra few inches made the world difference in degrees. From the looks of it, the return hose is almost flat. I can barely see about 3-5 degree slope.

there is already a check valve installed to prevent that issue

So is the current version of lovefab:biggrin:

also oil "coking" isnt really an issue anymore....better oils, BB turbos using less oil etc etc etc...
just not the issue it was back in the day.

as far as why NOT to just use a LoveFab....why not? if you have the meens or ability....its not like they have cracked a secret code or something. (yes they have a nice kit, dont read to much into what im saying)

LOTS of people can build a turbo system...LV just happen to be the first guy that was on the ball enough to market it sell it and support it, not just build it. he did have some experiance with this side of the buisness....

if you have a local who can build ya one...why not?

i wanna build one...im bored  anyone want a turbo?
