Doesn't she fall off when you take a U-turn?

You must have noticed that red bar with the word 'search' in it, right on the top of the screen.......
You know what its for

Oh well, actually not more then a few days ago, it was discussed: http://www.nsxprime.com/forums/showthread.php?t=49614

Thanks for the heads up!
1) i was specifically looking for the bay area.
2) i'm hoping someone in the bay area might know some one with a hook up!

This forum nazi crap is just totally out of hand. Rey is our friend here in the Northwest stomping ground. He has a legit question for us local guys and posted in the appropriate section.

Hi Steve,

I was not trying to be sarcastic in any way, or trying to be rude towards Rey, hence the first line, and the smiley.
I don't know Rey, so i have no reason to be rude.
I just found it funny that someone would come up with a question, which was in length discussed only a day or so back.
On the other hand, i did not notice that it was posted in a regional forum, but the original post could have given a fair amount of information to start with.
I will refrain from posting in the northwest forum in the future.

Ta,

No need to refrain from posting in the regional forums if you have some insights to share. Currently, I have a running argument with Ken Sax on fine dining and dives in the Midwest forum!

So back to the main subject! Does anyone in the bar area have a hook up with a bodyshop or winshield company for my situatuion?

Raven-Are your rock chips really bad? Roy's Diablo took quite a few. He drove back to Seattle the long way up the coast, going through San Fran. Let me know if you are going to do the Bull Run. There are "rumors" of celebs that may be going.

On another note, can you send me the link to the site where people are uploading the Player Run pixs at? Holly and I have been searching for the main site and can't find it. Thanks.

Yes, I have a couple of suggestions:

1. Make sure the installer gets a factory windshield. Most will put in a generic cheap one by default unless you specify otherwise, and those get tiny chips very easily which look quite bad over time.

2. My friend got his windshield replaced from a mobile company that rebated his deductible to him after doing the job. They did not do the work for me, so my recommendation is second hand, but I thought that was cool. It seems a bit sneaky, but it is legal apparantly. Legacy Auto Glass 800/727-0465

By the way, Nice picture, ParisModel!

Nope, sorry. You might search for them by name, but maybe they are gone now. It was less than a year ago that my friend used them, though.

But regardless, this gives you something you can check for other companies doing, if you would prefer not to pay your deductible.

One other bit of info:

I got my NSX windshield replaced after a stone chip 2/04, and used a company called Continental Glass Co. 415/457-4180 who did a fine job. Nothing stood out as unusual about their work, but everything looked and was sealed fine when they were done, and they avoided scratching or marring the paint around it, around them, etc. Good as new when done, on the first try -- maybe that is the unusual part.

They are also the ones who told me I might want to request specifically an OEM windshield since the insurance adjuster-based policy was to give me a generic one otherwise. The only slight problem was that the right side windshield wiper was put back one notch too far up when at rest, which I noticed -- being so detail-oriented. But it was simple and quick to reset down one notch.

They charged me my insurance comprehensive deductible, unlike my friend's which happened later, but they did do a good job. So if you cannot find someone whose work is recommended and also rebates your deductible as well, they might be a good choice. Hopefully your experience will be as good as mine.

Wait - did I read that right? That's a super deal. Safelite got you a Honda OEM NSX windshield installed for $198? Where? I need to get mine replaced too and I might as well go where you went.

I was extremely upset, so the guys found an oem one and installed it for the same price as an aftermarket. u not might get the same bad luck good luck, but u can try.

Has anyone in the Bay used U.S. Auto Glass Depot? Good? Bad? They have a NSX on thier hompage and are located in Hayward. Anyone affiliated with them a part of the NSX community or used them in the past?
