I have a squeeling noise in the area of the master cylinder of my NSX. When I start the car cold, and drive away, a noise sounding like an electric pump makes a laboring squeel. It goes away after 20 seconds or so. There is no other symptom. Has anyone else experienced this sound.

Yes, it's the ABS pump, and it's normal. Look in the FAQ section entitled "What's that noise?"

Oh ya, first time I heard it I almost crapped my pants....what a horribly tortued sound!! It IS normal, from what I understand...just the ABS pump resetting. Should not happen often though, unless you often start your car cold the morning after a spirited evening involving heavy brake applications!!

I hope it's normal and I haven't done anything about it. I've heard it on my '99 NSX-T twice and it has under 5K miles on it. Right after it has been sitting in the garage for a week or more, when I first start driving it on a Sunday morning it makes this squealing noise - for a second or two - but it's unsettling nevertheless.
