Non-Compliance rear - disadvantages?

I am thinking about putting in the non-compliance rear and toe links... are there any disadvantages other than the $$$? Do they squeek, transmit vibrations into the car, etc? I know the advantages, but are there any disadvantages? If they really make the back end behave then why didn't Honda put these in standard?

I would never know I had done this while driving on the street,on the track you will be rewarded with a more stable rear end near the limits.

I have just the toe-links on my NSX for about four months now. I have not yet discovered any noticable disadvantages yet. No squeeks, no sound.
The positive effect however is quite noticable, especially in long, fast turns. I used to be able to feel how the rear of the car was setting itself in the turn, now it just Goes !

I think there is a small penalty in harshness tramsitted into the car. But your question is one I have been asking too. Does anyone know if this is still an "upgrade" for sure on a 2005 car? Did the factory not update this at all on their own?

I spoke to SOS and have them coming for my '03 - I can't speak of '05 but I know they aren't an 02+ thing. Having a Porsche Racecar with Monoballs I like not having rubber anywhere but under the wheels - it is confidence inspiring!

You are confusing me... it is or is not available for 02+? you have a set coming for your 03?

To my knowledge there is no significant change to any of the newer cars' suspension from older cars so any of the venders rear beam-toe links should work.Sway bars may be an issue with automatics.

It is available to buy and install on an 02+ my lack of knowledge was from you saying it was stock on an 05 - which I can't speak to. I know its NOT on my car, but will be when I get my goodie box from SOS!

I don't think there is a difference for 02+.

I got mine from SoS and it looked the same as the one I sent back to them (core exchange) minus the delrin bushings.

There really should be no downsides. We have installed dozens of these kits at our shop and there is no increase in noise, vibration, or harshness in the ride that is detectable. These kits fit all years. We offer a core exchange beam that makes installation much easier if your tech is not comfortable with installation of the bushings. The beams that are sent out with the bushings installed are bead blasted and look brand new. This is one of my favorite mods for the cars and makes a big difference in handling especially in high speed high G turns as mentioned above.

You can find the beam bushings and toe links here:

I believe they accelerate wear on the tires a bit more.

There is no impact on tire wear when these are installed at factory alignment. In fact, we install the rear toe links for customers who wish to IMPROVE tire life as we are able to reduce the amount of toe in on the rear suspension which is required on a factory car due to the vulcanized rubber bushings. We hear reports of increases in tire life by 50% in the rear.

take care,

No issues with the autos, these work on all years / trans / engines.
