NSX Benelux Summer Event

Hey you NSX'ers!

It's been a while agoo since we (Dutch, Belgium and even UK) all met during a nice ride with our NSX. I wrote a thread last year in which I told you I would like to take care of a nice trip in The Netherlands.

Since I have moved to another house, I didn't have much time thinking about organising such a trip, but now I'm settled ... let's go!

Because of the holiday season, it can be quit a hassle to pick a date on which everyone is able to attend the NSX trip. Therefor I will make a list with some dates on which you can subscribe to. After a week or two, I will figure out which date suits best for the most of us.

So please put your name below the dates on which you are able to go for a ride.

I promise you all, it will gonna be a great trip!

Since I moved to my new address, it is possible for all of the NSX'ers who join the trip, to park near my house and we have a great location for a BBQ ... even if the wheather sucks.

I suggest we start around 10.00 hrs in the morning with a cup of coffee, tea, or whatever and go for a ride untill about 17.00 hrs. Then we attack the grilled meat and if you don't like to drive home in the evening, you can leave your car on my driveway and sleep in a hotel, only a few minutes walking from my house.

If one of you has any suggestions ... feel free to let me know.

Hé you NSX guys & girls ... I see only a few of you are interested in a ride trough the Dutch countryside. Is it because of the dates (holiday or whatever), or don't you wanna take your NSX out anymore?

I heard some of you do like to go for a ride, but don't like (to much) the fast driving during such an event.

Therefor I suggest I plan the ride in a way that all of the people who participate like the event. I tell you later about this in this topic, but for the moment I hope this extra information will attract more NSX's to attend this Benelux tour.

Let me know if you have any other suggestions and I'll see what I can do to make (almost) everyone happy!

1. Is it the dates?
2. Is it the fact that we're gonna see some Netherlands?
3. Is it "the fear" of fast driving?

The Belgian NSX-Drivers will attend at a meeting in Austria august 10-15 th (Jerzens) ... The hotel and meeting's allready been payed for ... most of us extend this meeting with a short vacation.
I think that explains the lack of respons from your neighbours from the south.

I think in september you can count on many of the Belgian NSX-drivers.

The Austrian event is organised by Honda Racing team Imst, it's an all-honda event. HRTI was the previous organiser of Hondaropa. They invited us to their meeting and we accepted it ... :tongue:

The event is non-NSX related and the invitation originaly started with only Acura Ronny and me. But meanwhile Eli, Peter and Stanny joined the "pack" ... :biggrin:

OK,

De rest van deze tread maar in het nederlands, gezien het feit dat alle deelnemers nederlands spreken (toch :wink: )!

Het ziet er naar uit dat het geen echte optocht gaat worden waar we politiebegeleiding voor nodig hebben, maar ik wil toch maar voorstellen dat we a.s. zondag 6 augustus bij elkaar komen voor een ritje, een hapje, een drankje en wat slap ouwehoeren.

Aankomst bij mij thuis 6 augustus 10.00 uur. Dan lijkt het me wel aardig als ik voor een (lichte) brunch zorg (broodjes, wat warms, koffie, etc.

Vervolgens rond 11.30 uur gaan rijden tot 16.00 uur en dan weer bij mij thuis om te BBQ'en en wat te drinken.

Tussendoor 2 - 3 keer stoppen (afhankelijk van het weer) en er een rustig ritje (misschien met een kleine tussensprint) van maken.

Ik zorg voor de brunch, BBQ, drinken etc. en als jullie mij dan € 10,00 per persoon geven, heb ik mijn kosten ongeveer wel gedekt.

Laat a.u.b. even weten of je definitief meegaat en met hoeveel personen. Geef ook door als je diëet of andere eetwensen of gewoontes hebt.

Datum : 6 augustus 2006
Aanvang : 10.30 uur Lichte brunch … (2/3 x broodje, koffie, thee, etc.)
Vertrektijd : 11.30 uur
Vertrekplaats: Nieuwerkerk aan den IJssel, Parallelweg Noord 14.
E.T.A. : 16.30 uur
BBQ : 17.00 uur
Einde : op z’n vroegst 18.00 uur, blijven hangen mag :wink:

De route voert op hoofdlijnen langs de volgende plaatsen:
- Gouda
- Bergambacht
… vanaf hier volgen we de Lekdijk aan de noordzijde van de Lek …
- Vianen
- Lexmond
- Ameide
- Meerkerk
- Arkel
… vanaf hier volgen we de Lingedijk aan de noordzijde van de Linge …
- Leerdam
- Leerbroek
- Nieuwland
AC restaurant Meerkerk voor een drankje, tanken en toiletstop.
- Hoornaar
- Noordeloos
- Goudriaan
- Schoonhoven
… bij Schoonhoven steken we de Lek over met de veerpont (ik heb de pont getest en je kunt er met de NSX op én af) …
- Vlist
- Haastrecht
- Gouda
- Reeuwijk

Verwacht aantal deelnemende NSX’n 5 – 6. Ik zorg voor een (deels) gedetailleerde routebeschrijving voor het geval we elkaar kwijt raken, dan wel als iemand vindt dat het tempo te hoog/laag is, zodat we op +/- 7 punten weer gezamenlijk verder kunnen … een tussensprintje mag dus!

Zoals ik al had aangegeven is vertrek, aankomst en aansluitend de BBQ bij mij thuis. Ik heb voldoende ruimte en zo’n redelijk klein clubje kan ik best wel even huisvesten.

VERZOEK: Laat me a.u.b. uiterlijk donderdagmiddag 17.00 uur weten of je komt en met hoeveel personen (voor de lichte brunch en BBQ). Mocht je wensen hebben op het gebied van eten/drinken (vegetarisch, diëet, etc.), ook graag even vermelden.

Oh ... eh sorry, maar de kosten zouden in plaats van € 10,00 weleens op kunnen lopen tot € 15,00 :redface:

Yesterday we had a very nice tour through the Dutch country-side.

Starting from the very nice house of Dirk, a total of five cars drove through typical small Dutch villages, along twisty dikes alongside large and smaller rivers and canals, driving over small roads with plenty of nice houses and in a beautiful setting until we arrived back at our starting point. The day was finished with an excellently organised BBQ and lots of talk about the NSX of course.
Am already looking forward towards our next trip.

Yes, it was good to see everyone again. Has been a long time.
Only bad thing happend on the way home, I think I popped my right door speaker so I have something to do again...

And yes, I do think we have a very nice group of NSX-drivers here in Holland.

So, maybe next time some of our Belgium friends can join us as well :smile:

SOrry we could not be there, We just arrived from a short holiday ( 2.5 weeks) a round trip through norway. ( about 600 kilometers)
