I've noticed that NSX Prime's Store doesnt have anything for sale really. I was wondering why there weren't any shirts made for this site seeing how big it is. I think shirts would be a good idea. It would help promote the site, let people show their pride for NSXs and somewhat financially support the site itself.
I do graphic design for other companies and since doing that, I know people who silk screen these shirts. I can make things from your average shirt, to a polo or even hats. I wouldn't charge for it because I am offering my services.

Just throwing it out there for you guys, I dont know if this has ever been brought up before.

I don't know what going on with the cafepress.com site.
They only have bags, lic. frame for sale right now??
I did buy NSXPrime logo stuff from this site 2 years ago.
Got a tee for the wife, BBQ apron for me, toddler Tee and bib
for my baby. Wonder if Lud knows that there's only 3 things
for sale at that site right now, or maybe I just don't know how
to navigate that site to find the other stuff.

Cafepress.com sucks. They dropped all my artwork that had an image of the NSX because of some absurd policy that since all car designs are intellectual property of the manufacturer I am not even allowed to print an item with a picture I took of my own car using their service. They also locked me out of my account, and then refused to reactivate it using the current e-mail address - they would only restore access using the e-mail address I had originally signed up with, which was no longer active. I just gave up at that point because I am not interested in dealing with a company so horribly run anyway. Since that time they have replaced product model numbers, so most of the merchandise I set up has vanished and I can't log in to update the merchandise to the new product numbers. Oh, and they are keeping all the profit on the stuff that is left. They stopped sending my the $1 - $2 markup I had added to each item to generate a little money to put toward running the site. They kept the markup price and have kept all that money on top of their normal profit for years now. Nice, huh?

I only used Cafepress to begin with because I didn't want to get into the shirt (or other memorabilia) business, and they handled all of that. It is safe to say I will never use them again.

I'm planning to replace the Store link on the nav bar with a Wiki link. If a reputable vendor wants to handle production and sales and customer service for NSX Prime merchandise, I am open to discussion on that, as I know there is some interest from members. I just have no desire to be in the merchandise business myself.

A well-respected SoCal member (octechgeek) is in the t-shirt printing business, here is his website:
http://www.design2tee.com

He recently made some shirts for our Cars & Coffee meeting in January; perhaps send him the artwork, and sell them directly from the site using a paypal shopping cart system?

Is the possibility of having shirts made still out of the question?

I traded a few PMs with FcFigher about this a couple years ago and it just looked like it was going to be a big deal to coordinate... with users pre-paying to someone I don't know, minimum quantities, finding people in different regions to distribute individual shirts, etc. so I didn't pursue it.

But people have been asking for t-shirts for many years. I don't want to get into the merchandise business, but if I can find a good reputable vendor who will handle everything they can be the "official" merchandise provider.

If anyone is interested, please put together a brief proposal of how you envision it working along with some products and prices and I'll take a look.

My priorities, in descending order of importance, are:

1. Me not having to get into the merchandise business. The extent of my involvement will be a link and/or static page on the site that redirects to an online store. You also need to be able to supply / create any necessary artwork; I don't have any.

2. Quality merchandise

3. A decent online store for ordering

4. Good customer service, including a reasonable return policy

5. Reasonable prices

I don't have a set list of what merchandise I want, though I guess shirts are a given because they are always popular. Vinyl / static decals are requested fairly regularly too. Beyond that, I'm open to whatever the vendor thinks would be worth offering.

Lud, you may want to dig some old PMs on this same issue ...... I can't find mine to forward them back to you.

Hi Hrant - Re-reading the chain of PMs it appears I dropped the ball inadvertently because I was expecting more info on things like order handling and you were waiting to hear back from me on product. Honestly I don't really care about merchandise as long as it is quality. I think the vendor should offer whatever they think people are interested in.

Checking your website however I don't see an online store capability, unless I am somehow just missing it. While I am sure for the type of business you have been doing it works fine without it, I really want any NSX Prime merchandise to be viewable and orderable in an online store.

Anyway I'm open to whatever you (or any other vendor) would like to propose if you want to re-open the issue.

I've received a couple e-mails from people asking to buy shirts lately, so I'll throw this back out there. I am still willing to work with a vendor who meets the above criteria.
