Please don't kill the messenger. I thought the NSX-R did a great job holding off the lambos until the lap where his engine began to overheat.

Actually yes, Net viper. I have a Japanese (obviously ) Best motoring dvd. Bit old now (last march)The race was between the Lambo Gallardo, latest ferrari (stradale? Spel?), nsx-r, nsx-type-s, porsche and a skyline gt-r r34. Gallardo won (just) nsx-r 2nd, cannot remember the rest off hand. The type-s spun out though.

The general consensus (read speculation) is that particular NSX-R is a bit of a factory ringer that has a few extra modifications beyond the customer NSX-R. That car has apparently had overheating problems on other occasions, while NSXs in general do not.

Yeah, the guy in the gallardo basically said it's pretty even in the twisties but as he got onto the back straight, he basically said: "then i'm outta here"

I think the NSX-R would not need THAT much more power to have beating the lambos... Nothing a 9lbs CTSC, BBSC or Gruppe M couldn't have done.

I think we should start a campaign to send KGP's FX500 over to Japan to race those same cars
