NSX RUN
Eastern Sierra’s – Mono Lake/Bishop Loop
June 21-22, 2008

Come join us for an unusual but exciting NSX run on some of the most thrilling two lane blacktop anywhere, with spectacular scenery the entire way. With clogged boring interstates left far behind it is an extended opportunity to drive your NSX the way it was meant to be driven.

The run will start from Starbucks in Stockton and the morning drive will head up Highway 4 and Ebbetts Pass (8730 ft.) then Monitor Pass (8314 ft.) eventually reaching Lee Vining on Highway 395 for lunch. After resuming from the Mono Lake Visitors Center, the course heads east on Hwy 120 (my personal favorite 50 mile stretch of highway reminiscent of Laguna Seca). We will then loop around the highest peak in Nevada (Boundary Peak – 13, l40 ft.). Then we’ll head south on Hwy 264 towards the 10,000 ft. Bristlecone Pine Forest Road with some of the most spectacular views anywhere. For those that feel like an easier afternoon drive, a bypass or alternate route may be taken from Benton on Hwy 6 South to Bishop (34 miles). It would be approximately 3 hours less time and 100 miles less distance. The town of Bishop will be the destination for that Saturday night. We will have a group reservation for dinner for those interested. Sunday morning’s drive heads back up Hwy 395 north to Highway 108 and the Sonora Pass (9,624 ft.) with a final lunch break in Sonora.

To guarantee a spot for the run, make your reservation with us as soon as you can. At this time of year (and on a Saturday night) rooms are extremely limited. Bring FRS Radios and extra batteries.

Very cool, I've done almost every part of that route except for the section that cuts out into nevada. I'll need to check my college schedule and see what's going on first for the summer session. I'm definitely interested though

$175 for a hotel in Bishop???? Serious....???? Sounds like ..... well I'll keep it to myself.

What we have learned from setting up this type of overnight event is owners are more concerned about their car than their bed. Exactly where is their baby going to be parked and will it be safe. The hotel offers a very nice Continental Breakfast which helps offset the cost. The bottom line, better to pay a little more and stay in a nice place. It makes for a happier group.

For those that have AAA Insurance, you can get a better rate booking direct through the hotel yourself.

Hope this helps.
