NSX = Trans-Am? :O

Well, here's a new twist on an age-old thread.....

So, I showed a picture of my previous white/black '92 NSX to someone and she said "I didn't know people still drove Trans-Ams"

I've gotten Corvette a lot, and Ferrari once or twice, but this is a first. :tongue:

The heat must have made people crazy this weekend, as I have had a few people say it looks like a Ferarri or Corvette, I actually had someone say it looks like "one of those old Deloreans". Interesting people in the world...

If you've got a mismatched roof (black on colored car) it does look a lot like a mid-90s Camaro. I've had a 95 Trans-Am, and a friend had a silver Camaro with the black top - it definitely does look similar my silver/black NSX, and I'm a car guy. I can see someone not familiar easily confuse the two.

Now, if someone came and said "Nice Mustang", well, that would be it.

I agree. I think the NSX resembles a 90's Camaro Z28 a lot, more so than a Corvette. The two cars have very similar profiles. If the rear glass engine cover sloped back further they would look even more similar. Of course the Camaro is physically a lot larger, but to the untrained eye they could be mistaken for the same car.

Of course when you sit inside and drive them, the differences are obvious. :smile:

Mine was mistaken for Mitsubishi GTO. Then I pointed to my brother's GTO and told them, the NSX is worth 3 GTO's.

I sold my RED 308 and bought my BLACK NSX the same week.
I took the Acura to work the first time and someone from my office walks out and says : Wow!! Looks great with the new black paint job!
