HI i want to fit some new wheels to my NSX , can anyone confirm the sizes?

I don't want the wheels to come out much further than the OEM ones.

Will Blitz 03

17x 8 offset 45 Front

17 x 9 offset 45 rear fit ok?

Thanks

Chris

Use this calculator to help you
http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp

Stock wheels are:
1994 - 2001 Front 16x7" +55
1994 - 2001 Rear 17x8.5" +60

With what you gave:
The front will extend an extra 23 mm closer to the fender
The rear will extend an extra 21 mm closer to the fender.

Will it fit ok? Yes, and IMO will look a whole lot better than what you claim you want.

If you "don't want the wheels to come out much further than the OEM ones" then these are NOT the wheels for you.

Thanks for the reply, so for a perfect fit and look I need:

Front 8 x 17 et 45

Rear 9x17 et 45

So as the match the OEM front / rear diameter should I run a lower profile on the back?

(Front and rear alloys are 17")

Thanks

Chris

Chris, it seems like you're pretty confused about everything. What do you want? Here's a picture of the wheels you mentioned:

The specs for these wheels are: Blitz type 03 deep dish three piece wheel. 17x8, +41 front, 18x9, +45 back

I would definitely go with a 18" rear as running the same size front and rear doesn't look as good IMO, especially with this wheel design.

I wouldn't. The sizes 215/40-17 and 255/40-17, which are the stock sizes on the '02-05 NSX, generally work well on all years NSX with 17"/17" wheels. They should not rub, they should not cause problems for the TCS, and they should not throw off the accuracy of your speedometer and odometer.

If you're looking for the absolute best traction on dry pavement and you don't really care about anything else, I recommend the Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec in those sizes (although the rear size is on back order at the Tire Rack). If you want a blend of excellent dry traction, wet traction, and treadlife, then I recommend the Goodyear F1 GS-D3 in those sizes.

+1

Blitz 03's already look small due to the design, and 17" rears won't look right. Very few aftermarket wheels sized 17/17 look good on the NSX (lightweight 1 piece wheels may look okay, but not 3 piece with a lip). Personally, I'd stick with '02+ OEMs if I wanted 17/17.

Recommending these over the Falken Azenis RT-615?? Or just in this size, since it doesn't appear that Dunlop makes the Sport Z1's in 215/45/16 or 205/45/16...

Just wondering...

Most Wheel shops have a list of RIMS that work best with your NSX. Just tell them what you're looking for and they should be able to help you out...that way when what you get isn't necessarily what you want you got someone else to blame:biggrin:

The list, if one does exist, is usually with fitments that are extremely conservative.

If you want expert wheel advice on the NSX, the place to look for it is HERE on NSXPrime in the NSX Tire & Wheel subforum.

In that post, I was recommending the Star Spec and AD08 (as well as the RT-615K) in 215/40-17 and 255/40-17.

For those with 16"/17" wheels, I recommend the Bridgestone Potenza RE-11 (with 205/45-16 fronts) as well as the Kumho Ecsta XS and Falken Azenis RT-615K (both with 215/45-16 fronts). If wet traction is a concern, go with the RE-11 over the XS or RT-615K.

You need to be sure these wheels will fit, I have seen many of these wheels and they have two designs , high and low pad - the low pad rears will not clear the NSX caliper.

NSX prime is definitely an amazing source for tech. Info. I was a backstage observer for the better part of a year reading threads on this forum before buying my 03 NSX...
