I am looking at buying some used NSX wheels, 16-17" in the solaris silver. But my question is why are these priced so high? NSX owners think these wheels should cost as much as new aftermarket wheels. I just don't get it?? I mean selling 94-95 wheels for over $1k, give me a break. They are good looking and light I know but that is simply too much money when the ugly stock 91-93 wheels are going for $100.00 per wheel. What gives??

It's simply a matter of supply and demand. If people didn't want them, they wouldn't sell for as much. But they do - they're light, they're nice looking, they have the right offsets and such, and they work perfectly with the '94-01 OEM tires.

Stop and think for a second. You are complaining because you obviously really want these wheels, probably for some of the reasons stated here. What makes you think that no one else would want them, so that people should be willing to give them away at a steep discount? (Remember, a new set still costs $2800 with the best discounts around.)

What I find surprising is that the '91-93 stock wheels sell for so little (actually, about half the price you quote), not that the '94-01 sell for so much.

Anyway, prices are set in the marketplace, by supply and demand. Obviously, supply and demand balance each other out at a different price point for used '94-01 stock wheels than for used '91-93 stock wheels. If you think that new aftermarket wheels provide a better value for your money, then buy them instead of used stock ones!

Good points NSXTASY, thanks for the input...

WOW  :) When i got my 97-T a month or so ago , the seller gave me the origional rims and tires with the car. Until i read this post, i never knew the price of the OEM rims. Just checked on the Dali site and the price is $2820 for the set of 4 for my 97. And the tires on them are only about 30% worn. This makes me feal great. :)

How many 91-93 wheels do you want to buy for $100 each. I will sell you all you want. :D :D
