NSX with Spinners? Anyone?

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, O GOD, TELL ME THAT DOESN'T EXIST~!!! *

* IMO

What can you be thinking about? That's a Scott Peterson-like defense move. I'm not writing this to berate, demean, scold or be condescending (to) you but come on....... spinners on a sports car? That's like Italian salad dressing on a Haagen Das vanilla ice cream. Just my unwarranted $.02.

Wow... what a reaction?! :(

This was a serious question because like you guys I think it would over the top, but that's our opinion -- there's always somebody who likes it and if they do it's their car. In my years on Prime I've never seen an NSX with spinners (thankfully?) and I was wondering if anyone else had. Sorry I asked. :(

NEO I was serious. I was presuming you meant spinners like the ones on the original Cobra and Ford GT. The ones posted were from a older Corvette to emulate the look found on track cars of the period..
It was very much the look in the sixties and early seventies. Before there were pneumatic wrenches and the provisions to utilize them at the track, race cars used knock off hubs with spinners. You hit the spinners with a lead hammer to take the wheel off. They are dangerous and have come off on some cars if not tightened properly.
I had them on a MG Midget with wire wheels. Being a older guy I like the way they look.
I do believe the folks here thought you meant these new hub caps and wheels you see on cars where the center of the wheel rotates and spins like a pin wheel and is very bling. I am sure you did not mean that. Did you?
Example on a E type Jag.

pbassjo : I actually meant both... but the smaller spinners you describe is what sparked my question. After a conversation with somebody about spinners on exotics, i did a little web search and saw some spinners for (older) ferrari's etc.. but they were the smaller center type as you describe. This is why i posted my question.

Done tastefully, anything can look good: even spinners.

Now... it would be interesting to see some "bling" spinners posted here... i wonder what reception the owner would receive? ;)

I was just in a bad mood......................I am over it now!

Woody used to have some pretty over the top chrome rims on his old '92 red. He might have some pics if someone pm's him.

Yeah, that's right woody, I called you out on rims!!

Id like to see some pics of NSX's with spinners! Not wire wheels spinners but 50-cent, G-Unit spinners!! Bling, Bling

Uh, not on an NSX. Especially not the bling variety! Of course this is my personal opinion.

Chill all, tiz the season to be uhhh- wateva'...

hmmm.... Neo's question seems very logical and appropriate. Bling-Bling is in, spinners DO appear on supercars and other luxo' rides. IF the NSX premiered in 2000 instead of 1990, w/o a doubt there would be spinners and 20's on quite a few (how, I don't know... but the urban customizers would figure out a way). Latrel Spreewell has spinners on his late-model Diablo Roadster and his racing-works shoppe has done the same for countless other exotics and high-end cars the individuals who wanted it. If there was a spinners motif that was forged w/ magnesium and titanium and aluminum (reasonable strength and comparable weight to the current OEM wheels) and it was a style that I liked, I'd seriously consider it.
