West coast!
I just heard of this from Saber and was wondering where/when is this even happening?

I'm always up in Portland so if I can get my schedule setup accordingly I'll be there for the event (probably won't have an NSX but still a big fan of the car)

It's still two years off, and stuff changes, but it has been announced that it will be in Portland, Oregon. If so, I will definitely be there.

Next year's is in Ohio -- long drive for me, but I might try it, since I grew up in Ohio and it'd be great to cruise around my old stomping grounds.

I heard that Portland's track might be closing so that may be up in the air for 2008

Current plan is to have 2008 NSXPO in Portland OR. I will be heading up the effort with lots of local help, and some remote effort from the West Coast. PIR track is a bit of a political football right now, it is a City Park, so is an easy target for folks to kick around when the budget gets tightened and whack job activist pipe up. Even if there is enough momentum to close the track, which I don't think is possible, it will take years to do. We are safe for 2008.

Loose plan dates are Sept 28- Oct 5 ish...2008...of course lots can change in 2 years...

My plan is to do a schedule similar to Orlando, PIR track days early, throw in a Pacific Raceways day in the middle and then social events and tours leaving out of Portland the end of the week. So much to see and do up here!!!

See you all in Ohio in 2007!

Thank God!!! No.. Thanks Dave for thinking of bringing people into Seattle!!!!

Just a quick follow up on the 'Closing PIR' thread...the local whack job/activist/city council member who was spearheading the shut down just got back the results from a poll of the area around PIR, after the summer 'Open window' season. He found 2/3 of the residents weren't bothered by the noise, and only 13% were very upset. He was "A little surprised" by these results.

Seeing how the track has been there for more than 50 years, and the folks complaining have been living in the neighborhood, according to the survey, less than 5 years I hope this puts the movement to rest for a few years. Those folks should just move...IMO, I don't think the track likes them any more than they like the track!
