NSXPO Caravan Thursday September 11th.

A bunch of guys have been talking about caravaning down to Portland so I thought that I would organize it. I'm open to suggestions but for now this is what I'm thinking.

Thursday September 11th @ 11:00 a.m :
Let's meet at the Bahama Breeze restaraunt at the Westfield South Center Mall. It's on the North west side of the malls parking lot. It seems that this would be a great central meeting area since people will be coming from all directions. Perhaps if there's anyone that lives even further south you can meet up with us in route instead of at Bahama Breeze if you prefer.

NSXPO registration starts at 5pm in Portland at the Crown Plaza Hotel so I think we should meet at the restaraunt at 11:00, have lunch and leave by 12:30. The drive to Portland will take 3 hours so we will be there around 3:30, plenty of time to check into hotels and mingle a bit.

Open to suggestions if any one has other thoughts.

I can't miss the whole week off the middle of Sept. you know how slow the car business is right now; but I'm one of the early guys signing up for track days and I'm still trying to pull more people into the track event.

One of those days, I have to stop by and say hi, I lived less than 5 mins away Lynnwood Acura.

I figure the track will still be there next year...I probably won't get to another xpo for a long time.

Eric, you can't even sneak a Monday or Tuesday out of your schedule?? Trust me I know how hard it is to miss work, but same thought process... You sure don't want to see some modified nsx (by that, some famous one like Kip's, or even Factor X) at the track, IN ACTION???
We still not sure if Spoon will bring their nsxR GT either...

I've done Seattle to Coeur D Alene and back with my dad in one day. You should be able to make it to Seattle area in half day, then grab a nice lunch next day and maybe you could cruise around Bellevue area then meet the guys by southcenter. Should be relaxing.

Make sure after you passed Spokane, don't speed. you will see there are a few stretches have some small hills between the East/west bound lanes... There are a few speed traps there.

i was secretly telling myself if I would make any, I mean any money this week, I will just take my vacation and join you guys. NOT!!!! I'm not kidding, I make Zero $ on last 8 days. :frown: I kept running into crazy people and business is so slow it's not even funny.

but I still think you could take 1 more day off, really, where can you use the supercharger to its full potential??

Trust me, not going to nsxpo 08 will be my biggest regret, and I never regret any decision I made. :frown:

there's lots of hotels in Spokane, can check on sidestep.com, We stayed a holiday inn express just west of spokane, about 5 miles off I-90, it's nice, clean.

Be careful when you going through the last mountain pass, the snoqualmie pass, can rain a lot,(dumped on me last week), hope you have good rubber for the rain!

I believe I will be coming down from Edmonton on Wed all the way to Spokane. Then in the Morning run down at an angle to Portland, coming across to Seattle seems like more of a long ride, unless I hook up with someone for the nite in Spokane or surrounding and ride out with them.
Driving myself all this way, shortest way possible seems best for me.
I will not be doing track days, I'm not sure where that came from.
In case anyone needs, I do have the passenger seat in my car to take some luggage or stuff down, I am going up through Kelowna though and won't be coming back through Spokane.

yes, according to google map: Spokane I90 to 395 to 30 to I84 to Portland is 352miles and 5:33 hrs
whereas Spokane to seattle-olympia to Portland is 435miles and 6:45 hrs.
Is there not any prime members in Spokane?

I was just going to call you to ask about the roads down there and which way to travel. What is on a google map is not always the best so i was looking for local help. Any tips from anyone would be appreciated.
I will sleep under a tree by the road if no one wants me near Spokane. lol
