I've had my car out a couple of times this spring, and now I'm thinking about what I want to do before driving to CO. for NSXPO. Of course the routine maintenance things, but what else might be called for? My car has 126K miles. I did main relay, hoses, harmonic balancer, and new battery before my trip to LV in 2010. I may do some dress up stuff besides. Looking forward to NSXPO; Howard:smile:

Plan your trip and places to stay. You are welcome to spend the night if you are here in Ann Arbor.

Thanks Tim for your invitation. I've been working on some possible routes and places I want to go. Nothing is definite, except spending a night at my brother's place near Andover Ohio. I usually take I90 across Ohio so I'd be within 60 miles of you. Thanks again; Howard

It sounds like you're keeping up with the maintenance on your car. In addition to the normal scheduled maintenance, there are two additional things to consider. If you're planning on driving in the track event, make sure you've changed your brake fluid in the past six months. And, as with any long-distance trip in the NSX, make sure your tires have enough tread to get you there and back.

besides the fluids/pads/tires....you will most likely be doing a fair amount of night driving, and if you have the standard headlight bulbs I would consider doing a hid upgrade,I have Steve's kit at 4300 and it helps.

Hey Ken; Nice to see you're still contributing to this forum. Have you got your order in for the NEW NSX? Will you be going to NSXPO?
Thanks John for your tip about head lights. I try to avoid very much night driving, but in 2010 driving through Utah trying to reach a town with a motel, I had a low beam go out. Fortunately there was almost no traffic, so I could use hi beams almost all the time. Hope to see you at Kids Day at The Glen, and maybe NSXPO too. Howard

yes I will see you at both:smile:

I took John's tip and installed new low beam bulbs a couple weeks ago. Last evening I changed the fuel filter, and while doing that I added a fuel pressure gauge. Thursday I contacted Source 1 Automotive to order the ProSpeed injector upgrade, to be installed in July. I'll be doing brake pads and fluid change latter this summer, along with some cosmetic stuff.
I am so looking forward to the "Golden Road Trip" in September. Howard

I also cleaned the IAT sensor while I was doing the fuel filter. It was really cruddy looking. That surely couldn't be a good thing, anyway when I get the new injectors installed, and throttle body cleaned, it should run as good new.
