I have a 1991 Acura NSX w/ OEM Bose head-unit & OEM Alpine 6-disc changer in the trunk (M-Bus 8-pin). I want to keep the OEM head-unit and add a MP3 player, so I will buy an "Aux. Input Converter" (PIE Hon-Aux: http://www.logjamelectronics.com/piehonaux.html ). I see myself adding more devices in the future, so I will also buy an "AUX3" (Soundgate AUX3: http://www.logjamelectronics.com/soundaux3.html ).
I wish to use one of my newly-added 'Auxiliary Inputs' to use an OEM Honda/Acura single-disc CD-player ('92-'98, single-DIN, 8-pin) mounted in my glove-box instead of my trunk-mounted OEM Alpine 6-disc changer. Does this seem feasible?
Both the single-disc player & CD-changer are separate OEM units, lacking a tuner & having no controls/displays, 8pin, require an OEM head-unit w/ CD-controls, etc'...
Schematic:
1991 ACURA NSX:
currently:
OEM Bose head-unit-8pin = OEM Alpine 6-disc changer M-Bus- 8pin
planning:
OEM Bose head-unit-8pin = Mp3 player + OEM Honda/Acura 1-disc single-DIN CD-player-8pin
Needed:
PIE HON-AUX Auxiliary Input Converter + Soundgate AUX3
???
If this isn't possible, anyone got any different ideas, but same objective/goal: compact, single/multi CD-changer in the cabin... Thanks!!!
