How do you check your oil Hot/Cold

Where should the oil level be on the dip stick .... yeah I know should be obvious

What about oil pressure Idle/ Rpm

I searched but I didnt really find the answers I needed except for the type of oil to use and how many quarts 10w30

All other answers kind of varied as far as how long to go before you change it

Anyway I hope this thread will cover everything oil related so lemme hear what you got

Hot/cold makes no difference. If hot let it set about 60 seconds after shut down.
My oil PSI usually sets on the 1st/2nd bar at idle.

According to the owner's manual, the proper way to check the oil is with the engine warm/hot - turn it off for 5-10 minutes and then check. However, as davidf notes, hot/cold really makes no difference; you'll get pretty much the same reading either way. (I'm guessing the expansion of the oil when warm is offset by all the oil having a chance to drain to the bottom when cold.)

Also according to the owner's manual, the oil level can be anywhere between the two dots on the dipstick. (The distance between the two dots is exactly one quart, and it's also one quart between the lower dot and the end of the dipstick.) However, even though the manual says the oil level can be anywhere between the two dots, I like to keep it at the top dot, so I don't have to worry if any significant amount of oil is consumed (which doesn't happen on my NSX, but happened on another car I used to have).

My PSI is the same but I thought it was low

I read somewhere to check it cold and parked on a level surface and it should be at least up to the bottom dot. Make sure you do not overfill the oil I also read as this can be bad

According to the 91 service manual, oil pressure when warmed up to operating temperature should be:

At idle: 0.7 kg/cm^2 or 10 psi minimum
At 3000 rpm: 3.5 kg/cm^2 or 50 psi minimum

I keep my level just under the top mark on the dipstick. It hasn't moved yet even under severe driving.
