AF looks ok until 6500... then a little lean for my taste, on your setup. If you can get back on the dyno and tune it around 11.8 - 12.1 ish at 6500 and above you will be better off. And to be even more picky... between 4700 and 5500 make that a straight line between 4500 and 5500... getting richer. Making good progress though, congrats.

Hi Ben,

Looking Better every day:). Nice work.

OK:

1106 is the same as a 13 code for OBDI. It is a BARO sensor(WTF??:)). This says it is an atmospheric sensor, but the troubleshooting guide states that either the TCS controller or ECU is bad??

I think this was the TCS freaking out on the dyno runs. Was TCS enabled??

1491 is the same as a 12 code for OBDI. It is an EGR code. I believe this is due to the vacuum reservior in the EGR system seeing too much boost and draining the vacuum supply to properly lift the EGR valve. I have seen this on another car, and Mark and I discussed adding a check valve to the vacuum reservior for the EGR system. I do not have exact details, so you need to get a message to MB.

Let me know if I can help.

Regards,
LarryB

larry the code 1491 come on even when the car doesnt se boost its driving me crazy ...anyone else have an idea?:D thansk larry for the info..and yes tcs was off on the dyno but on the street that code has never come on again only this stupid 1491 ..agh:(

EGR code

Hi Ben
My car did the same on EGR code 13 , it send the code when car
is not in the boost (my car OBD 1)
Mark B instal check valve on EGR sistem and it fixed
the problem with code 13

Its a longshot and if i sound like a moron, forgive me....but.....

Dont you have a blow off valve in place of the wastegate? The blow off doesnt release air during idle and is probably boosting pressure during idle and other times where you normally wouldnt see any boost. would this casue this CEL? Would a bypass valve be more suited? As I understand , they are not one in the same.

Okay Ben, what gives? I saw you are selling all your go fast stuff, including the SC. Did you find a cure for the go-fast crack pipe? :D

I would think the Wb's car would easily beat a 911TT. I guess he never go the SC working right...

996TT not 911TT no way the NSX keps up that car is a beast.

Armando

A 911TT is a 996TT. It is only called 996 overseas... all porsche here are called 911.

Yes, the car is fast, but it only makes 420 HP. WB's car should be able to make that much power and it weighs less..

Just because his car makes 420hp at the max point, does not mean its a faster car.
My Nsx makes 363hp to the wheels and my 360 will kick the snot out of it.
The 996 twin will walk any SC car. IMO
You need to take into acount, power to weight ratio, torque,
and most important when the hp kicks in.

Sorry yo get off topic, Ben you have a great looking car I am sad to see you sell the parts.
Ps: Gerry's car could take care of that 996/911TT, without a problem. ;)
Take care Brian.

The story according to Ben!

Ben ordered the 911TT BEFORE he got his BBSC working right. At least that's what he told me before I just bought it from him!!:D After he got the bugs worked out he tried to get his deposit back on the 911 but they wouldn't so he decided to part out the X and sell it all.

I hope that is what happened since I'm going to be working like mad to get his BBSC working on my X now! I will probably be posting here soon screaming for help- but that's a good thing - I think!

;)

Well, PAYNSX BBSC ran 11.9 @ 118. That will beat a stock 911TT. So that is out. A

I don't know why you would say your 360 would "kick the snot" out of your nsx.

With 363 RHWP, that is more power than a 360 is making at the wheels and the car weighs roughly the same. Have you run them head to head?

<B>Quote:"My Nsx makes 363hp to the wheels and my 360 will kick the snot out of it."</b>

With the BBSC using the NOVI 1000 and standard pulley, my car handled a 360 from 60mph up to about 145mph by 2 car lengths or so.

This was with hp numbers in the low 370's and no weight reduction.

Andy has also posted about beating 911TT's with his BBSC, but he is making closer to 425 HP. Maybe he can chime in here.

My thoughts are that a well tuned SC NSX will run with a stock 911TT. Whether it be BBSC, CTSC or Gruppe M.

I think that a FX400 Turbo NSX will have no problem with a 911TT or a 360.

I think that a FX500 turbo should go after the ENZO :)

Armando... have you tried racing a 911TT with your setup? I think you would be able to hang without much trouble.

LOL, what did I start! :D Funny what happens when someone stirs the FI pot. :p
